“Entire family loved it!! I think I have a great business idea for Auguson farms. A lot of people are getting into “meal prepping” right now. They are weight lifting however trying to sustain an honest calorie deficit so that they can retain muscle but lose body fat. Much scientific literature seems to indicate that a person’s protein intake should be increased to 0.8-1 gram of protein per pound of body weight during a calorie deficit in order to spare muscle while losing body fat. As a result people are weighing their food and preparing their food in advance to make sure they get an adequate macronutrient combination of water, fiber, protein, carbs and fat (focus is primarily on getting enough protein) but staying within the calorie deficit. Many people are bad at math and hate weighing and measuring everything in advance. They are on a financial and time budget. If they had ready made meals that tasted good where all they had to do was put 1 cup of food to every 2 cups of water (something simple like that) then it would be a way for them to meet their goals. Usually the macronutrient combination they are shooting for is like 0.8-1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, equal grams of carbohydrate (potato, corn, rice, pasta, squash, or fruit for example), 25 grams of soluble/insoluble fiber, and remaining calories in healthy fats like unheated olive oil, coconut oil, nuts and so on. I think the fat part you can leave out and people can decide how many nuts to throw in. But it’s the other part that I think discourages people. If it tasted good... I think you could potentially have a killer line of products. Albeit much higher in protein. How true the science is I don’t know but I have spoken to board certified clinical nutritionist are are insistent on it. And “meal prepping” is a big thing right now. “I love how Augason Farms offers such a variety of storable foods. I will continue to show my financial support to them. I've only tried the Vegetable Stew Blend so far. The process was smooth and the stew was better than ok. It was mostly potatoes with very random veggies. I'd prefer more vegetables and less potato. I'd like it if it was filled a bit more to the top in the container if I were being picky. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and I'm very happy I found Augason Farms.”

“I love Augason farms. I suffer from celiac disease and Augason farms has some products that are certified gluten free that I just cannot find anywhere else. They are a lifesaver. It makes me feel like I actually have control over what I can and can't eat now.”

“The two 30 day emergency food buckets came in good condition and in a short time from when I ordered. Have not opened them as they are for an emergency. I do use Augason Farms Black Bean Burger, and freeze dried vegetables and fruits, cheese powder, honey powder for every day cooking. All excellent products. We live in earthquake and wild fire country, had to evacuate twice this year, and depend on our supply of Augason Farms food while camping out till it was safe to go back home.”
