We still haven't received our order so it's hard to write a review other than we had hoped the shipping would be more prompt.

The quality of the food won't be known until it is needed. The shipping took much longer then advertised which was apparently because of high demand at the time of my order. This was not made apparent on the website or in the conformation email, I had to contact you to see what the delay was about. This should have been stated up front or in a follow up email, it's bad business practice to leave a customer guessing as to the status of their order.

I ordered 2 pails of sugar . 1 pail came in fine, the other came in with the lid off on one side spilling sugar inside of the box around it. Lost about 4 cups of sugar.

Hello, I have emailed customer support about my order asking for an update on shipping. It was ordered on the 2nd of December and it is now the 17th and is still in 'processing' and I have had no response to my inquiry. I understand there may be some time needed to prepare for such a large order, but I would at least appreciate a response.

Hey Augason Farms, I purchased your product for emergency rations. I didn’t order them for regular daily meals. The only thing that I’ve sampled so far was the oatmeal, and I found it So-so. I’ll let you know after the next natural disaster how your foods turned out, but it might take a while before we get one. T, John w

I would like to see more actual meat in the products, not just meat flavors. But I guess that’s what makes these products affordable.

I was expecting at least 1-2 more pouches of food per kit and a pail or can with each kit. I was not expecting just the pouches of food. The contents were not clearly stated online. This was the first time that I had ever ordered a 72 hour do it yourself kit. I'm glad that I had ordered items for myself as well. I had to use these to make the items that I bought for others a worthwhile Christmas gift. I still have to buy containers to put it in. I sent several emails to Augason Farms inquiring about the product and they were left unanswered.

They advertised buy 2 get one free. So, I ordered 4, thinking I would get 6 packages. Only 4 arrived.

The "build your own" is an incorrect term, since the buyer cannot pick what they get.

Linda, Thank-you for your comment.We value our customers and their feedback. I have passed your comment on to our product and development team. The "build your own" is in reference to the fact the emergency preparedness pouches are delivered in discreet packaging (a brown box) and the customer could take the pouches and "build your own" emergency kit by dividing up the pouches into various emergency kit options such as, a backpack,72 Hour kit, RV, Camping Trailer etc. to meet your own emergency preparedness needs. I wish the packs I had ordered had come with the variety listed on the website and understand you have the right to change due to what is in stock, but 3 / 4 different items were substituted. That seems excessive. But was still a great deal

I have 14 long-storage food items from Augason Farms, most purchased through Jim Bakker Minisitries. I have only opened and sampled one; the Black Bean burgers. The one burger I made was edible. Since, the rest are for emergency purposes, I am unable to give reviews of them.

Would have given 5 stars except for repetitive food choices and lack of variety. You can only eat so much pasta, soup and oatmeal before it drives you insane. You need more choices.

Good flavor. Was hoping to have soup on hand for a quick dinner or a cold night where I needed a warm up but broccoli soup is a bit salty for every day menu. Will have to save the rest for SHTF menu instead.

Peter, We really appreciate you taking the time to reach out to share your feedback. We're always more than happy to assist our customers before they purchase any of our items as well as address their questions or concerns after. You are correct. Our products are filled by weight not volume. A can of strawberries for example will contain less product than a can of whole egg powder. The visual when placing these items next to each other can indeed cause people to feel that they've been shorted or that the product was under-filled when that isn't the case. The decision to discontinue our smaller everyday size cans was made in 2017. By switching to one size of can we were able to save on our manufacturing costs as well as create a more efficient manufacturing line. These savings are then passed on to our customers in the form of low prices and this more efficient manufacturing line allows for us to keep more product in-stock. As for the oxygen absorber, we put 2-200cc oxygen absorbers in our cans which is he recommenced size for a container of this size. It is designed to absorb all of the oxygen inside regardless of the amount of product.
