in general everything ok but finance company still asking for details after all agreed and accepted by Autonet

Mixed bag. The renewal quote was seriously uncompetitive which prompted me to shop around and it was only when I came back to them to tell them I had a better quote from another company and that I wanted to cancel my cover that they dropped the price to an acceptable level (seriously, why do insurance companies do this, just BE HONEST please, it isn't rocket science!). I've stayed with them because the cover is slightly better tailored to my individual needs (the one real advantage that this company offers) but they are going to have to up their game to retain my business next year. Also, singularly unimpressed that you can ONLY advise of a non-renewal via a phone line that takes an age to put you through to an actual person and that advertises three completely different sets of opening hours, none of which turned out to be correct. I got through to the rival insurer instantly to say I wasn't going to go ahead with the policy and it was cancelled in less than a minute, so Autonet have some serious catching up to do here.

After queerying your broker I then received a cheaper reasonable price. Please could you send me my insurance documents on paper by post. Thankyou!

Don't agree with £15 set up fee

Hi Patrick, Thank you for taking the time to get in touch. The £15 is an administration fee to cover the costs that Autonet would incur by setting up your policy over the phone. This fee is not charged if a policy is purchased online. Kind Regards Carly

I have had no issues with the insurance itself, my only problem is that going into the second year of the premium the payment date was (inexplicably) moved from the 2nd of the month to the 10th.

When clicking through from a price comparison website, some of the options then needed to be reselected within Autonet page. Furthermore, the contact details page would not accept confirmation of my details. Policy appears to be good value for money so very happy in that respect.

I had a email for a quote for my renewal . I wasn't happy so rang to cancel my policy after going on a comparison site and getting a quote for a lot less. I told the tele sales my problem and he sorted it out for me which I was very happy about .Luckily I have never had reason to use it and long may that continue xx

Easy on line dealings but unfair charges, I was charge an administration fee because I didn't declair I none fault accident I had on a motorcycle 2 yrs previous as I was taking out van insurance , they then asked me to to produce the none fault documentation and no claims which they increased my premiums which I understood then charge me another administration fee ???? In my eyes it was the same issue and should of only be charged once

We got a great price from Autonet but our renewal was expensive, we got a better price from a comparison site from Autonet plus, actual insurance service is great but the quoting process leave a LOT to be desired

2nd year with autonet for my van insurance. I felt I had to stay with them as I currently have an on going claim in place for an accident I was involved in in February 2018 where 2 other parties involved are still trying to avoid responsibility. Due to this my premium has doubled and my no claims has disappeared. However once this is resolved I have been told I will receive my no claims back and a refund of some of my renewal premium. Not happy but I think I am in a corner at the moment.

Hi, Thank you for your comments and we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy. I would like to assure you that if you decided to not renew with us this year this would have no impact on your claim and it would still be processed as normal. It is also standard practice across the industry, that an ongoing claim would have to be rated as fault until it gets settled, if the claim was then settled as non-fault we would then look to refund the difference in premiums.
