Changed to a newer model car to be told they can’t insure it and then gave me a quote for a new policy 3x more expensive and then got told they be taking £50 of my refund due to canceling which is not my fault , and all they say on here and other places were sorry which is bull and go down complaint path which is also bull , so be warned stay away and pay that little bit extra from a proper insurance company to save you the hassle of cowboys like this

Policy auto renewed, my error as I did not see the email. The day after it renewed I telephoned them, incidentally, I was on the phone for over 45 minutes, to see how much the cancellation charge would be. After being passed around to three different departments, two of which quoted me the same price of £31 to cancel, after being told that they couldn't match the quote I had from another provider (over £200 cheaper!), the cancellation fee then went up to £54.

I filled all details of a claim I made 3 years ago when an unknown driver hit my car when parked in the road outside my house when I was looking to renew my insurance. I foolishly paid there and then online then the next day received an email saying they’ve got details of a claim I made 3 years ago, could I ring them to provide details. They said that I said it was a non fault accident but according to my current insurers, it was a my fault accident. I was told insurers say a third party hitting my car and driving off IS MY FAULT! Apparently, if they can’t claim off a third party, then it’s your fault. My quote was £212 but they had to rerun the quote saying the accident was my fault and it came out £112 extra! So I told them to cancel it and give a refund. To add insult to injury, they charged me a £25 administration fee for doing so! Not Happy.

BEWARE. Cancellation fees extremely high! Been with Autonet for 3 years. Cancelled my insurance and got slapped with a £50 cancellation fee plus a £50 broker cancellation fee! Raised complaint, no response in this but now a letter demanding even more money! Beware, cashing in at every point possible! You have been warned....

BUYER BEWARE - Took out a policy online but realised it wasn't right. Rang over half an hour later and was asked for my reference number. Person said they had to talk to someone and kept me hanging on the line when they eventually came back they said they would not refund money in full but have to charge an administration fee as they now had entered the details on system. I wondered why I was kept holding for so long? They are brokers and do not offer 14 day change of mind that a regulated insurance company would. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM make sure to deal direct with an insurance company.

Renewal of policy goes up by about 40% and You can't cancel your renewal on website or by email or by live chat, you have to phone and you queue to get the cancellations team they take your details then you queue again for the renewals team and its an 03303 telephone number - if you take out a policy ask for no automatic renewal .....

I had my work vehicle/livelihood stolen 15th Nov 2020 and was quickly paid out, however Autonet have continued to take payment even though there is no van to insure! I would have thought that once you have been paid out and the finance paid off and the vehicle not in existence that would have been an end to the matter, obviously not. Autonet sent me a renewal notice for this vehicle today and this is what brought this to my attention. Its bad enough that you are robbed by unscrupulous light fingered low lives but you don't expect your insurance company to join in!!

Absolutely dreadful! After finding a very competitive quote through a comparison site, we went on to take the policy. We have had nothing but trouble - three letters threatening us with cancellation - each time have rang them straight away and given them the information they have needed - yet another letter to cancel - another phone call - and so it goes on. Tonight, the final straw - yet ANOTHER letter to cancel - so I rang immediately - they said there was a 'spelling mistake' from a previous insurer on some information we had sent therefore it was 'void'. This information had first been sent through when the original policy was taken out and in no correspondence or phone calls has this been told to us until today - when they have cancelled our policy. the people on the other end of the phone were rude and, after going through all of this in detail, I said I wanted to complain - she asked what about????? NEVER AGAIN!

I have been insured with them for the past 3 years and the price has always been very competitive so I have had no issues, until today when I changed address and the extortionate cost they have charged me for a simple administration of change to an address. My insurance premium was £278 and they have charged me £105.78 for the next 5 months this borderlines daylight robbery. I definitely will not be renewing my insurance policy with them in June out of principle, how they can charge so much so a simple administration is beyond belief.

Can’t rate autonet from them stars as it doesn’t go low enough!!!. But you have to give them at least a 1🤬 -10 I was looking for , Not far off a scam, very unhelpful and liars to boot!!!, they insured me for a week then wanted more money, saying that the accident I had last year which was a hit and run, from a foreign van driver which wrote my car off, was my fault as I claimed on my own insurance for my car, ( I wasn’t insured with these cretins at the time.).

Autonet have a website algorithm that up's the price if you leave the site and return..come back a day later - it drops. My Wifi dropped out 5 mins later the quote went up £85! They also hit you with a charge if you ever dare to claim a broken windscreen - an extra they are keen to add in but claim it and they add a penalty to EVERY future policy! NO OTHER insurer does this i have 5 vehicles with all different insurers... They count windscreen damage as a "claim" like others class as accidents. Phone lines can be incredibly hard to wade through too many options with long wait times (was as bad pre covid). Avoid if possible, only positive is the price. But after a year they wanted to up my policy by 800%! so i left at that time. They wouldn't negotiate. I have been driving 30 years with full no claims...

To change your address is £37.50. shocking price as I’ve never paid before to change my address (read the small print before you accept the policy for Fees ) This day and age everything online, emails etc. They did knock the price down to £14.95 after I fell off my chair but still shouldn’t have to pay for change of address.
