“very poor have to wait 20mins every time you ring, then i sold the my car and needed to cancel the insurance and got charged £145 so dont forget to read the small print.”

Hi Richard, Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch. I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy with all aspects of the service that you received from Autonet and that it took longer than expected to answer you call. When a policy is purchased, it is a 12 month policy that includes the cost of setting up and administering it. If the policy is cancelled before the end of the 12 month term, charges are made to cover the costs incurred to Autonet. These charges are explained prior to the policy being purchased. “Poor customer service, Poor internal communication. Didnt want renewal price so i got a new quote online, It was with the same company. So i took out the new policy with autonet, obviously thinking that would trigger the renewal not to go ahead. The outcome was me having two bloody policies for the same vehicle with the same company. They had the cheek to charge me to cancel the renewal. Customer service agent i spoke to was utterly useless. Id personally aviod using this company/agent at all costs after that. Very unhappy. Also emailed driver details to them twice & they cant find it each time, Im not resending the info.”

“Good price on my insurance. I had a query that needed to be resolved over the phone and the lady that dealt with me was very helpful. Only negative part is that it took a long time for the phone to be answered.”

“After a couple of years with a big name insurance company, I finally got around to doing a price check - and I am really pleased I did. Autonet Insurance gave me a significantly cheaper deal for the same cover AND had a lower fixed excess AND included legal cover in the same price. On this sort of deal, how can I not recommend them highly!”

“Do not insure with this company. They cancelled my policy on the Monday when I recieved a letter requesting information in the post on the Saturday but did not write to tell me the policy was cancelled till the following Saturday. I had sent the information to them on the Wednesday . I rang them and had to wait 1/2hr before speaking to someone. Who eventually told me I would have to speak to some one the next day. That day I was then told I would have to wait 2 more days to speak to someone again who in the end could not help me and they charged me £75 for them to cancel the policy. There attitude was take the money... Computer says no.”

I'm sorry to hear that you are not happy with all aspects of the service that you received. Unfortunately, your policy was cancelled as we did not receive the proof of no claims bonus within the required timescales. According to our records, documentation was sent on a number of occasions to request this. I believe that the policy has now been cancelled, but that we have offered an alternative quotation to suit your needs. In terms of the cancellation charges, these are made to cover the costs incurred to Autonet and are explained prior to the policy being purchased. Kind regards Nicola
