Returns - Difficult

I bought a brown wooden tv cabinet online with B&Q however the very next day I decided to i actually preferred the cabinet in white and so I called their customer support team but was told they had nothing to do with returns; its down to the company company responsible for shipping the items.

Conveniently their “returns” label didn’t work so I stupidly forked out more money to post this set back and sent all my receipts by email for a refund including details of the package tracking.

Items were shown as in stock on multiple occasions, after proceeding to checkout and paying for said items, informed three times that the items were not available. Unhelpful customer services representatives who informed me that I would have to speak to another company entirely (PJH) to sort out returns or exchanges. Absolutely unsatisfactory service. Shocking

The 135 day returns policy is generous but without a receipt it’s not helpful to me.

She took out a pair of scissors and opened both returns which were sealed, peeped inside the box.

doncaster store purchased a heavy duty set of jump leads (40sq mm csa) on box got home 25 sq mm csa took them back to returns asked why every other box on shelf same info was shown light duty set ( 25sq mm csa) only to find they are 16sqmm csa nobdy on site to make a decision to resolve problem full refund taken check the product is suitable for your situation before you buy

Dreadful returns policy! My house flooded and, whilst I worked with the emergency plumber, my partner went to B&Q for switchplates to replace those that got soaked.

It also became apparent that they have blatantly lied and recorded the items as collected by myself and that I have asked for a returns request.

B&Q are not interested in price matching, we were a few days over the 14 days and out of the 10 miles zone, but did travel over 15 miles to the store. Could have got the product £118 cheaper at HOMEBASE This is so disappointing as I have spent loads of money at B&Q in the past and they have been good with returns previously.
