After banking with Barclays for over 30 years I have now transerred my accounts elsewhere. Appalling customer service, condescending attitudes and complete lack of care.

Choose another bank where you are able to get an adequate levels of service, for example banking a cheque should not take more than an hour! Customers shouldn't have to wait for more than an hour to speak with someone! The service at Barclays is ridiculous, save yourself a whole load of stress and inconvenience and choose an alternative competent bank! It's lunch time and there's only 2 staff in the main branch of Barclays providing a service to the whole town and the picture below shows no staff whatsoever behind the counter!

Appalling customer service I am trying to chase a disputed transaction since August 17th live chat in India just cut you off awful I will be going to financial ombudsman! No correspondence and different response every time you call really should train their staff better

Today I spent half of the day calling customer service, this is just some distasteful joke. I wanted to transfer money to my other bank because the card has expired and I cannot get into my banking banking. I'm just shocked. such an event happened on your vacation will be compline and I give only one star because it is impossible to give zero or better less than zero

I never had such an awful experience with a bank in my live and I am banking with HSBC. I thought they are awful, but they are just slow. I opened account with acceptance for a credit card. Got an email to provide proof of income in 48h or my account will get closed which I naturally did immediately. Got an email my case will be solved in 5 working days so I called them will it be fine is I have 48h and they say it will be solved in 5 days. The lady on the phone said it will be fine. After few weeks I got an email saying my account and creditcard will be closed. I really care about building my creditscore to buy a house and don't want to have short lived account on my history which was closed. I called and wrote to them crazy amount of secure messages but almost all responses are not understanding why I write. The say they cannot increase my limit or that dates ware wrong. The totally miss a point so I started to write crazy long messages and then they just ignore it and argue with the facts I send them. It's the worst bank I had to deal so far. No good communication at all.

I spoke with a lovely gentleman by the name of Jay Bahgvaker and reassured me that I was safe with Barclays but the way how he helped me is beyond words and I mean beyond words I cannot explain how safe I feel banking with Barclays bank my name is Mark Owen I work for Kings College of London I’m home owner Worked all my life Barclays have helped me from being scammed

I signed up for a credit card with Choice Priledges. Need to spend $1000 in 3 months. I receive card 2 weeks after applying. I try to use card but there is a $1000 limit so can't get above it to spend. Everytime I tried to spend it said over the credit limit. This is into the 2nd month. I finally get it to extend my credit limit but did not get it in time to go over $1000. Calling Barclays they say its from the day they approve and its too bad so sad I couldn't do it in that time period. I tried to tell them THEY would not allow my card to charge over $1000 but again they say too bad so sad. I went up to within a dollar of the $1000 but still its too bad so sad. I closed my card! To lose a customer for less than a buck is very poor management.

Have tried on many occasions to pay in cheque by mobile app. It does not work. A complete waste of time.

Absolutely hopeless trying to pay in cheque with this app , closing branches , no business managers and disinterested staff . Can’t wait to change banks

Some fraudster took £2200 out of my account and Barclays gave me the money back and then said it was my fault and took it back. Leaving me and the kids with nothing!!! On the phone for hours and nothing was resolved!!! Do not bank with these gangsters!!!!

Terrible bank terrible service tried opening a business bank account waited 6 weeks to be told no. When trying to ring took over 3 hours without a answer . There are much better banks offering good service barclays is appalling and the service department are rude. I know of others who have had very poor service from barclays i hope to take my money elsewhere now .

3 month to apply for the bounce back loan, 15 hours on the phone and waiting two week after loan approval and still no funds. Two complaints with no response and staff that can't help you. Worst bank ever

Most horrible bank. Every time I go there long queue staff are very rude specially Kingsbury branch. Poor customer service specially now they have excuse for COVID-19 and they very lazy I’ve just been today. After 3 hours standing there I went in there was only two counters and only one or two person go at the time I saw them sitting and do nothing no matter how big queue is out there! I just closed my account and never ever use this useless back.

It's the most horrible bank.I being international student had a students account with Barclays.4 days ago it suddenly blocked my online banking n debit card without any reason.My every penny is legal n it blocked my money without caring for customers right.I will take the matter with UOB students guild n fight against the fake bank n ask UOB to consider it's branch at UOB.

Discusting service been hung up on 3 times know one is answering once i get re diverted which has been everytime i have been on the phone for just under 3 hours then before that i was on the phone nearly a hour each time 4th time i have called also been in branch and still can not get through to business banking. No reason at all to still be on the phone for this long with no answer you should book to call people back asap if thats the case its not acceptable.

Surbiton branch closed,New Malden branch closed, Worcester Park horrendous queues.Couldnt give a toss about customers or staff...At least 4 people saying they will close accounts.
