An excellent example of you get what you pay for. Adjustability is great, but the extension set came loose (on both rear shocks) within days, even after using red Loctite. Anodized aluminium is lovely, until it gets scratched because BC Racing don't send an aluminium adjuster, so the steel one it comes with scratches all your nice shiny red pieces. Oh, and with everything tightened up (and rear rubbert mounts) there is still an annoying clunk in the rear suspension after 2 weeks.

Quality is good. Rear needs a rubber insulator between the two metal washers to house the torsion bar properly. Instructions would be nice, as well as torque specs. Other than that good stuff and they do what they’re meant to. Great first set to learn with!

Recommended spring rates and valving in shocks are not matched especially when buying the kit. Would not recommend it for motorsport use unless you have no option for coilovers like myself otherwise they are OK for street use only.

In all honesty, the customer service was pretty terrible from the 3rd party seller. They had to wait for the main factory to open up to get actual information. I was over quoted for something I wanted. Just a basic set of Front only coil overs. So I just purchased what I kind of wanted and made it work for my needs Joys of having not a “standard” car.

Hello, With your build being non-standard, we attempted to help you with as much information as possible. As with any custom kit, we do our best to advise but ultimately, cannot know more than you as the person making the build. You required mating parts from 2 different models and we did not know for sure if they would fit correctly. Rather than taking a guess, we contacted our manufacturer to double check. It coincided with a public holiday in their country which is out of our control. As for being over quoted, it was a misunderstanding and you were priced for a full kit, front and rear. Again, we don't know the full details of your build and although you were asking for modifications to the front pair, we did not assume nor was it ever specified that you were after only the front pair and not a full matched set. If you would like to discuss this further please don't hesitate to contact us again. Best regards, BC Racing Management

Product is great but the instructions I received were wrong, I bought a BR set for a VZ commodore and received instructions for a VE. The assembly is different and was difficult to understand and figure out how to install by myself. And it doesn’t help that there are no tutorial videos available on how to assemble them. Overall the product itself is great but the instructions definitely could have been better.

I believe the springs that are sold are various ranges are extremely useful and great quality. I disagree with the fact that it’s not explained (besides a minor part of description) about the revalving process and cost when upgrading to larger/stronger springs. This has impacted the overall feeling and dampening adjustability to the car now.

Product arrived on time, was well packed. Only reason for not getting 5 stars is because the online images of the product showed having the damper extensions included. This is not the case, these are extras. This held up install as I had to then order these items.

Hi Ian, Thanks for your review and we are glad to hear that your kit arrived on time. In regards to our images, these are all generic and we have a disclaimer for this on each listing. In terms of the damper extensions, these are only provided by BC if there is no access to the damper keys once installed, otherwise these are available as an optional extra. Thanks for your understanding and we hope you enjoy your kit!

great coilovers but would be nice if they could be more consistant in height, my mate bought some for a different model car and is able to go a lot lower whereas mine barely changed the height.

I've ran BC suspension I'm my R32 for over 10 years with no issues at all and love the way they handle. Brought the front and rear set for my 1974 mazda capella and when they showed up I was really impressed with the finish. Got to work installing the rears and they fitted up real nice and made the car sit where I wanted it and still have some more adjustment. Had the fronts fitted to the front stubs as per the supplied procedure. Installed them and they fitted in nicely. Went to adjust them lower but it seems like I've ran out of adjustment. Spring pedestals have had to be wound down to get the desired ride height which makes the spring not captive. Would love some feed back and happy to discuss further. To me it seems like the base of the outer shock needs to be machined down 30 to 40mm to allow for more down travel. Not sure if this is an option before welding them to the stub axles

Completely changed the feel of the car in a great and personalised way. Was disappointed to see that I paid the price for coilovers with camber plates but the JZA80 Supra coilovers do not have camber plates available.
