“Fast delivery, no damage etc but one barrel was off. I knew the out of date would be close as was half price. Date was 28th Aug but barrel was off.”

Sorry there was an issue with your mini cask Lee. The casks are filled with only about 6 weeks 'life' on them. So when you bought it, it would have still had 4 weeks before the best before date & should have been fine to drink. I'll contact you direct as I can't see that you've got in touch to let us know there was a problem. Cheers, Hannah

“Received mystery pack full of beers well past their best before dates! Disgraceful really. I only noticed because I ordered two packs (one for myself and one as a gift). If I hadn't opened the pack for me, it would have been incredibly embarrassing for me and the recipient of the gift!”

Really sorry you weren't happy with the contents of your Mystery Case Tim. It does state in the case description it can contain beers that are past their best before date but are still good to drink. “This time round I wasn't so happy with my purchase. I had two kegs of Jaipur and a mystery box. The kegs just didn't seem very nice, I know it was a cask version but they really didn't hold up. Also the mystery box I was really unimpressed. I've had two previous mystery boxes and they were both great with loads of variety. However this time round 95% of my beers were Trappist style beers?? It really did seem like they didn't care what went in. I'm not sure I'll ever order a mystery box again. I will however still use beerhawk and I hope to be able to provide a 5* review again in the future.”

“Gift for a friends birthday. Most beer was short dated, one even being out of date. I replied to an email which states "got any questions just reply to this email" to which I was ignored... not impressed”

I couldn't find any emails from your Thomas, I promise we weren't ignoring you. The photo you sent with this review actually showed a Bottled on date, not a best before one. Many American breweries use this system. I hope your friend enjoyed the beer though. Cheers, Hannah
