Only half of my ordered arrived, and I'm still waiting for the rest! Disappointing to be on the end of pretty poor customer service and follow up

Beer was not delivered on date requested (a birthday) - over 10 days early! Disappointed.

Hi Kevin, I'm sorry that we didn't get the beer out on the correct date. I've checked our systems and can't find any record of you specifying a date you wanted the beer, however I don't doubt that you made the request! I can only apologise and put it down to an administrative error on our part as this is usually something we can do with ease. Apologies. Louise

Ordered 2 boxes of different beers as a gift. Only 1 box arrived but still got an e-mail indicating that my full order had been delivered - nothing mentioned about the missing box. I had to contact Beer Hawk who had to contact the delivery company who said that the 2nd box had been damaged in transit. Beer Hawk sent out a second box which arrived a week later than the first. 2 problems here: 1. Lack of communication between the delivery company and Beer Hawk 2. No urgency from Beer Hawk to get a replacement out

I ordered a number of beers 2 weeks ago. I received a message from Beer Hawk to say my beers had been delivered. However I had only received a part delivery but I was not notified by either Beer Hawk or their courier company when I was expected to receive the outstanding parcel. I had to contact Beer Hawk to request the status of my outstanding order which I was told it was delayed. Its a week later and I still haven't received the order or any notification. I appreciate this is might be a courier issue and perhaps not a direct reflection on Beer Hawks service. However I find the lack of communication frustrating and I would expect as a consumer that my provider would keep me updated. I will be honest and say that this would deter me from ordering from Beer Hawk again.

Product looks good on the website, but I haven't seen it yet... I got a text last Thursday saying it was being delivered that afternoon, it is now Tuesday afternoon and haven't heard any update since I spoke to them on Thursday afternoon. UK Mail asked me to call on Thursday, so I did, and they said the delivery man couldn't leave it at my office as I hadn't left the company name when making the booking. So I waited on Friday, still nothing. Phoned them this morning and they said they didn't have an update as their system showed it was being delivered yesterday... which it wasn't. Annoying as the delivery has completely let down what I thought was a relatively smooth process.

The order was promptly dispatched and the communications were initially good but the delivery service was poor. We waited in for the delivery slot but the delivery never came, It was difficult to contact the delivery service, UK Mail, but when we eventually managed to speak to someone after multiple attempts and several days, we were told the delivery man could not find us. This was the first time in 5 years that this had been a problem and I suspect the delivery man didn't look too hard as we are very easy to find. A shame that the delivery service let the whole process down.

I have still not recieved my order! it is not so much that the company itself is poor its the delivery company they use. The customer service is very prompt at replying and seem very helpful but they havent managed to organise their delivery company to deliver my order yet so can not rate the product!

I have been very disappointed re the delivery of my order (it was a birthday present for my brother). I was informed a week after I ordered it that the beer had not been delivered because it had been damaged in transit. I know these things can happen, but when they do I would have thought that the team would then make an extra special effort to expedite delivery and keep the customer informed. Instead I have had to chase up via customer services to find out when we could expect delivery (Charlotte was very helpful). Delivery will now be a week later than expected (thus having missed the birthday). Poor show Beer Hawk. I can't comment on the Beer because not yet had opportunity to drink it!

Hmmmm I do not like writing negative reviews and have used Beer Hawk before and they have been great but I am left a little underwhelmed. Simply I ordered the Oktoberfest selection with great anticipation and expected 15 different beers I have never tried to arrive, (the previous box had contained 15 different beers and was a massive party hit.) The first issue was probably my excitement as after ordering I got an email telling me my beers were in the warehouse and ready for dispatch.... after 2 days I had heard nothing and contacted Beer Hawk only to be told they were still in the warehouse ready to be sent and would be shortly. They arrived 2 days later which is not bad but my excitement and an expectation of an Amazon esque delivery window meant the 4 days felt like an eternity. What would have helped was an indication of the length of time when ordering as I would have gone for the express option. The second issue is just instead of 15 different beers I got 5 different beers but 3 of each. I won't complain as they are good beers but I am surprised why there were only 5 different ones.... Thus, all in all it was just a little disappointing and underwhelming.

Hi Garrett, Thanks for your feedback and i'm sorry we underwhelmed... I'm afraid the Oktoberfest case does only have 5 beers in it and that should be as described on the product page before your order. There's actually only 6 breweries in Munich, which means that's the maximum variety we can offer of true Oktoberfest beer, so it is a little bit different to some of our others that have 15 different ones in. With regard the delay it was partly us as we've got a backlog at the moment and partly our courier as it got misorte , so apologies for that. We're usually much much quicker than the 5 days we specify in our T&Cs. Hopefully you'll give us the chance to rectify next time? Cheers, Chris

Disappointing range of beers in the selection. Since this had a wide range of finalists to select from it would have been more interesting to select beers from brewers that do not have national coverage. Whilst I enjoy and support all Fullers, Hooky and Coniston beers, they're pretty much available in any supermarket. It's also disappointing that only one medal winning beer was in the case.

Delivery was promised for Friday 18 sept but goods arrived on Tuesday 22nd without convincing explanation from carriers. One box was in order but the second had evidently been re-packed sideways in bubble wrap with one bottle missing. A very helpful receptionist at beer hawk offered me a double refund for the missing Otley Oxymoron in my next order but did not send a confirming e mail as I expected.

Brilliant beers. Not had a bad beer yet. Reason for low score was the time taken from ordering paying and delivery. It was nearly two months. I actually had given up and thought I had lost money to a scam. But eventually they turned up. As I ordered a standard box as well as champion winners, would have thought they could have delivered that in the meantime rather than making me wait. Won't use again will look for a rival. Poor customer service.

I'm sure the beers are nice, but I bought a "gift membership" as a present for my husband and it did not arrive as a gift. We have had other gift subscriptions and have received from other companies a welcome leaflet, information about the beers included etc. Just small touches that would not cost the company but make it seem much more of a special gift of just a box of beer.

It's not clear when you will receive your first delivery when you first start your beer club. It says to choose a time and date but it doesn't specify that you won't actually receive a delivery on that day. I also can't see where you can change your preferences once you've started your beer club.

Hi Stacey, Sorry for the confusion on this beer club. The date and time is for when you wish it to start, ie take the payment from your account on the system. It doesn't state that its the date and time of delivery. if there is payment issues on the recurring payment on PayPal then this also delays it going out like on this occasion. To change preferences can be changed by logging on to the account on Paypal and change your preferences in the recurring. if you need help with this please let me know 01423 525750

They didn't stock the selection I had paid for... so did nothing. My Dads birthday present was delivered a week late after offering an alternative. In fairness they did refund the P&P, but I still thought it was poor service.

Hello Yaran, The box must have got ripped in transit by the couriers, we do try to limit this from happening but sometimes some slip through the net, The gift message was in the case on the packing slip for the recipient to see if you wish to contact me about this please call 01423 525750 thanks Louise

Joined the beer club and first order was delivered about 3 weeks late . The following months beers arrived on time so i had 2 lots of beer at the same time. I indicated that i preferred dark beers but seem to get mainly IPA's and light beers with each order . Several of the beers were the same on each order as well , not what i expected . I have put my beer club payments on hold at the moment but will cancel as i don't feel that i am getting value for money or the diversity of beers that i should be

Hi Mark, Thanks for the feedback, i have just looked into this further. Your beer club is on a preference for darker beers, the reason you may have received two case was a duplicate order if they had similar beers in them. Did you call us to notify us of the issues as i can't find any email correspondence. in this case we would usually collect the case and if you had duplicate beers that would be rectified. Ordered two cases on Saturday. By Thursday nothing so chased. By Friday nothing so chased again. Beer arrived Saturday just in time but one case only had 4 out of the 8 beers promised. Disappointed by this, and the fact I had to do all the chasing and Beer Hawk gave no indication of short supply. Two stars because they did refund £20

Beers did not arrive as promised. There was some damage to the beers and I had to do a fair bit of chasing up to get the issue sorted out.
