“Cans were covered in dirt so bit annoying. But quick delivery and good beers.”

“I ordered a case of 15 bottles from around the world as a gift for my boyfriend who loves to try different kinds and he liked it. I think it was a good selection even though I am not a great beer fan myself. The delivery was fast and all were in a good condition. Thank you! Great gift idea!”

“Excellent range of beers and a great service. However, the excessive £10 delivery charge for Highlands and Islands (I'm two hours north of Glasgow) means I'm unlikely to order again...”

Thanks for the review Louise - sorry you feel our delivery charge is excessive. If you order over £50 you get the standard shipping free, but due to your location in the North of Scotland there would still be the £5 surcharge. “I ordered some beer over the Christmas period and it was a bit of a disaster to be honest, however their customer service was excellent and all problems were sorted eventually. I’ve ordered two more cases recently and the service has been faultless and with special offers and loyalty points its been a really good deal for a great selection of beers (mystery cases).”

“Beer sent as a gift to a friend. I haven't tasted myself but would imaging it went down well. The beer was delivered fairly quickly. My only negative was that it was not delivered with the note I wrote so the recipient had no idea who sent it. It was awkward because I didn't want to contact them and seem as if I was expecting a big thank you but I was also concerned that it might have been delivered to the wrong address. In the end I had to ask another friend to find out discreetly. It was a shame this somewhat spoiled what would otherwise have been a perfect gift.”

“Husband was really chuffed to receive this case of beer on Valentine's Day. A great selection. I think a pamphlet explaining the heritage of the beers, ingredients etc would be a nice touch. I also think a nicer box or bag would be a nice for gifts rather than just a cardboard box.”

“First order no problems but second order had to chase up for delivery date! Only real complaint would be their delivery courier. Left instructions to leave with a neighbour but parcels were left on doorstep for all to see!”

“I purchased the Valentines selection for my boyfriend, the service and product itself was excellent. My only gripe was that the box was delivered without being wrapped - so it was quite clearly beer, as this was printed all over the box. My boyfriend took delivery of the parcel, so the Valentines surprise was kind of ruined. I expected the box to be delivered in plain packaging, as it was specifically geared towards Valentines. I also e-mailed Beer Hawk to suggest plain packaging is used in the future - I didn't get a response which was disappointing. If it wasn't for the packaging issue, and lack of response to my e-mail I would have awarded this company full marks, as I couldn't fault the product itself (packaging aside) or the service I received prior to the beer being delivered.”

“Very quick delivery and all good except one bottle was sent as a can. I phoned and queried and was told I'd be sent an immediate replacement but have never heard back. A shame as otherwise I was very happy.”
