Bank marked charge as fraudulent and restricted use of the credit card. Given the Better Me reviews describing abuse of automatic billing to over charge and difficulties cancelling subscriptions, I am grateful

I had subscribed to the advertised low price plan for around 12$ and then after it expires they never mentioned that it is gonna renew by itself charging around 65$ which is not fair. I did not want to continue after my first trial and they automatically renews it charged me that amount of money and when I sent an email they came up with the money back guarantee. Really really bad service. Never ever had this much frustration and disgusting experience with any company. If the company sees this review please come up with a fair solution because no one helping on the email.

Hello! We appreciate that you are sharing your concerns. Before confirming your first purchase, each user manually chooses one of the offered plans. All of them are based on a subscription. This info is indicated on the same page where you choose a plan. After you confirm your payment, you receive a purchase confirmation letter with the very same details. If you do not agree to be billed for the full price, you can easily cancel the subscription before it renews. It can easily be done either from the app or by contacting our support team beforehand. BEWARE of this unethical company. Maybe it is a franchise I don't know, registered in Cyprus by STAMATIS SKIANIS. I purchased a 28-day trial in August and the following monthly roll-on would cost £30.99. SEVEN DAYS from the initial start day BetterMe deducted £99.99 via Paypal. I emailed to cancel my subscription and requested a refund of £99.99 immediately. BetterMe replied but I never got my refund. Unfortunately, I had an accident and only found this out past the Paypal insurance policy. Paypal emailed him regardless to request a refund as they can see this was unwarranted. He has refused. He is a THEIF.

DO NOT BUY this app. You will be making a donation. The 28-day challenges highlighted in all of their advertising are not included. It is a bait-and-switch app. I was on this app for less than 10 minutes but quickly realized the 28-day Challenges are NOT included and did not get the requested refund. Do not bother writing an email because you waste time and effort. They do not reply. I got an email asking if I was satisfied with my reply when I DID NOT GET A REPLY. I never write negative reviews, so taking the time to write this says a lot. IT IS A SCAM. I am spreading the word so no one else gets scammed!!

I purchased a trial offer for £20 thinking it was for a month's trial. I used the app once but SEVEN days later they took £99.99 via PAYPAL. I emailed immediately for a refund which they ignored. I tried to get through but to no avail. Other life events, I broke my hand and forgot everything, until filing my accounts. I emailed Paypal with evidence that BetterMe ignored my refund request. They still emailed the company although it was over the time limit asking them to refund me the money, However, the SCAMMERS refused saying it was over the 180 days from PayPal policy. Update: PayPal has advised me to report them to Action Fraud. UNETHICAL COMPANY beware!

I was doing Pilates for around 6 months I had lots of aches and pains which after 4 weeks disappeared obviously due to the stretching it was absolutely amazing. I had to stop due to some bad news on my health. Needless to say my aches and pains are coming back but at the moment I don’t have a choice. But what impressed me the most I have putting off cancelling expecting a lot drama nope I emailed this morning received a message straight away all sorted. Thank you BetterMe for not making my life anymore difficult than it is at the moment 5 stars from me

Absolutely dreadful company to deal with. Their advertising is misleading and is designed to get you to sign up to a subscription. Then they start taking money out of your account regardless of your use. I tried saying i hadn’t signed up for this and that i hadnt even used the app due to sickness but they couldn’t care less. All they wanted wanted was to keep well over $200 just because they didnt care. No personal approach at all and rude to deal with, no empathy just money grabbing and misleading. All they wanted to do is keep quoting the T&C’s yet their advertising makes you think otherwise. Stay away from this con-artist company.

Problems cancelling the service, it's neither easy or straightforward. Customer Setvice staff were helpful in sorting this however, here's hoping they will not take a renewal subscription out on a few months.

SCAM. App charged me a full plan after I took off the auto renewal and canceling. I didn't have time to continue using so had to cancel. Their response was to send more add ons and options after I've expressed my initial cancelation was based on no time but cant refund what they charged. I didn't have any issues besides this and would never use again just based on that reason. Even though I took precautions...I was still charged. Id say be careful but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Apps that scam for additional monies.. not cool. I never have bad reviews but the customer service and help is terrible when dealing with this issue. They are quick to respond with no solution but more services to offer of the app. I didnt even really need the app and only wanted to just trial. Guess that what happens. Should have just gone to the gym!

I'm trying the app and I have to say that I'm loving it. I have to say they have an excellent customer service because I had a little misunderstanding or confusion with the subscription and the customer service was so helpful and nice. 10 out of 10, they really take care of their customers and they were so thoughtful with.
