“This course was exactly what my daughter needed. The regular school board’s physics course was not built for online learning, but it was clear from the materials and pace that the Blyth course was built specifically for the online platform,”

“Not recommended. No value. No direction. Difficult to reach teachers. Better off taking courses through TVO ILC for $40/course and using money for tutors.”

“I found the teachers and administrators very accessible and extremely helpful. However, I found the substance of the courses I took to be lacking and felt I had to teach myself a significant portion of the content. Most of the time it worked out well but this made a course like math very difficult. I also found the amount of work to be greater than what I have had to do at in person schools.”

“Pretty much satisfied by the way courses are presented/ explained to my daughter Sareena Shaukat Awan. The only improvement or change I am looking for is fee payment system which at times gets too complicated and have to try different ways/ links to be able to add funds for the courses.”

“The breadth and structure of the courses available on Blyth Academy Online is very good, and the instructors are very responsive. In my opinion, what is missing to get a 5/5 rating is more proactive periodic teacher check-ins, and a more automated way for students to know when they are falling behind the pace they need to maintain to hit their completion timeline. If your child is highly self-motivated and organized then I think it's a great platform, but for those that have kids who need more guidance, and communication about deadlines, a lot of parental oversight is required.”

“Once Blyth got up and running with online learning it was a great experience. The teacher’s were very engaged and students (my student) felt at ease in asking any question needed to understand the course content. A lot of that is because of the teachers, but the other part is because of the class sizes that make students feel comfortable in actually engaging.”

“We've been extremely pleased overall with BAO. My daughter has very definitely received more out of her year academically than any of her cohort who stayed in the public school system. We appreciate the addition of optional tutoring in courses like math and science, and have found that most questions to teachers are answered within 1-2 days. We will definitely be continuing with BAO next year.”

“Our child began Blyth Academy Online for grade 10 before the pandemic. We were immediately impressed with the multilayered approach to online learning including written, audio, video teaching, quick and easy ways to reach instructors, and peer interaction and reviews on assignments. BAO accommodations were very consistently and immediately applied. It made a huge difference to our child’s feelings about learning and future career paths. Since the pandemic not a day has gone by without us being incredibly thankful for the seamless and thorough education our child continues to receive through BAO. I firmly believe BAO is the gold standard in online education.”

“Many subjects and very supportive teachers and administrative team. They make things really easy for international students and the support from guidance counsellor to choose subjects for completion of Ontario High School certificate is very important. highly recommended.”
