“I tested myself without the handbook that I purposely did not buy and I am glad to say that I feel good about myself. The course content with video clips really enhanced my learning experience from which I am thankful to the individual who created and wrote this boating material. Well done. I will definitely recommend this course to my friends and relatives.”

“Well laid out on-line course. Lots of information especially in Module 6 that you need to know. Passed the test on my first try after taking this course. The book is a great reference tool.”

“The timing needs to go away. When your done reading it. The timer keeps going until the end you should not need to wait for the time to expire to go to the next step. It takes to long to wait.”

“Very detailed course that cover everything boaters need to know with one exception. Lip service is given to wildlife welfare and yet is needed as boaters are very reckless ploughing through duck families and trying to get close to loons and just being idiots. You can add more about that. Thanks”

“Although I've operated small leisure crafts for years, I learned a lot. Biggest problem is site won't let me run off my temporary certificate. Found that while working on the course, I would be asked to login again and it would take me back to an area I had just completed. Regards, Keith Bray Good value for money, well worth it!!”

“Very easy to sign up. I like how it’s timed and you can choose to read or listen to or watch the video on the content info. Quiz afterwards. And take the test when you’re ready. Over all a very good experience. Thanks”

“Quite engaging and informative considering the topic matter can seem monotonous. The website was glitching slightly where it would logout or repeat lessons. Not sure if that’s anti bot and being done purposefully but quite enraging at points. Overall useful website and well put together.”

“Both my wife and I completed the Boatsmart course a couple weeks apart and had the same experience. The course was easy to navigate, the information was clear and concise and the quiz and exam questions were directly related to the information we studied, and was also not nearly as time consuming as expected. Great course and would highly recommend it to, not only boat owners, but to any one riding in a boat. All good information to have when out on the water, whether you are the operator or a passenger.”

“The course content was delivered in a way it keeps your attention. It would have been very helpful to know the questions that I got wrong on the quizzes so that I did not make that mistake on the final exam.”

“The online course format may work well for people with compatible learning styles. I found it extremely frustrating -- I am used to learning by reading and can read much faster than the fixed pace of the online video and audio presentations. I wish I would have looked harder for a self-paced, text-based course.”

“I found a lot of the information really good but there was way too much on buoys and fire extinguishers.....probably could stand to cull the modules.”
