“In your courses and associated tests, you kept the answers and questions in each module to the essentials while leaving the bureaucracy out of it. “This is a great course to learn everything you need to know about the water ways, water safety, and boating but it took way too long. My problem is that I only took this course to be able to drive my jet ski, I do not have the intention of driving other boats such as Sail boats which I had to learn about for hours. I suggest that there should be a different course depending on the type of boat you are driving (power boat, sail boat, jet ski etc) we should be able to choose which course we want to take so that it doesn't take 8 hours to finish.”

“Easy to navigate through the modules. Videos help support learning. The voice was at a good pace. Lots of detail. More time should be spent on the practical and most likely used information and less time on repetitive information that is less important to everyday basic boating. I think it is very important to find out which questions I got wrong to make sure I learn the correct answers. If they are important enough to pass a test then I should be able to learn from my mistakes.”

“The course did cover all the the material required to pass the pleasure craft license exam, but I found parts of the course lengthy and even boring at times to the point that I just lost attention. For my purpose it could have been much shorter and more direct in terms of factual information..”

“I thought the course would be difficult. I know people who talked about how difficult the classroom course they took was, so I wasn't confident that I could finish and pass. BOATsmart's on-line course was fun & easy.”

“I like that I could take the course and test on my mobile device while camping. It was longer than I expected but was very informative, covering everything in, on and around water ways. See yah! Gone boating......”

“Overall the information provided is very in-depth and useful. Some information was repetitive, the modules were quite long and occasionally the timer would be several times longer than the video so the video would play 3 times before it allowed you to move on.”

“I found the course interesting and useful. Parts of it are just common sense and I would do them as my normal practice. For example everyone wearing PFD's or stopping for someone in trouble. Other parts are new such as navigation, safety and emergency. I did learn some useful things. On the final exam I had three wrong and would like to know what they were to be sureI did not miss anything. Thanks for the opportunity to take a good, sensible useful course.”
