“Boat Smart has a great idea, but the program is too slow. Module 2 in particular is really long. It could be divided in half since the length of time and intensity of content makes it hard to even recall what you originally learned. Many of the lessons could be condensed to make the program more enjoyable. Find ways to slightly increase speed and pacing.”

“My main criticism is that there should be a way to see what answers were incorrect in the end-of-module quizzes. These are meant to be an educational tool, right? Need to learn from your mistakes!!”

“The course more than covered what was needed to know for the exam. You also made sure each module was understood, I had to repeat a module as my understanding was a little weak. I appreciated the thoroughness of the course and quizes.”

“My daughter is 14 years old and can't pass to get her card. You need to inform the student of the questions they got wrong so they can study that section. Also not being able to go back and change an answer needs to be changed. Making the student re-take the complete module when you fail a quiz is beyond frustrating. The student should be able to review but not made to watch all the videos again...since they have already watched them once which takes hours. I have spoke to many others that are very frustrated with how the on line course is done. It makes it impossible for younger folks to obtain a pleasure craft operator card.”

“Easy to follow but should tell you what answers were incorrect on quizzes so you aren't left wondering what information you may not have understood. If you got the feedback right away on the quizzes you would likely remember the information you got wrong but was later corrected. This feedback would have been really, really helpful on the quizzes only. I can't help wondering when I'm out on the water, what mistakes I might make because I didn't get that feedback.”
