“Took several hours to complete, practice quizzes were helpful, passed the final test easily on the first try. Mildly annoying things: being forced by the lesson timer to wait, after the video lesson had finished, before going on to the next lesson, because the timer was not synced to the length of lessons. Also, for lessons where there was no video (just audio or read it without audio) the audio sometimes stopped working and the timer required much more time than was actually needed to read the material.”

“Good program, but I would estimate 75% of the material will never apply to my boating activities which is driving a personal water craft around a small lake. The lessons were painfully long.”

“As a first time boater, I found the course to be extremely thorough and easily understood. I believe it is important to read and digest all of the information and placing timers on each slide is a great idea. It forces the reader to listen to the various slides and learn the necessary information.”

“Very good detail....really like the video explanations! I like that there is a lot of time for answering questions, both during the instructional parts and the exam part as well. I am interested in finding out what I answered incorrectly so was a bit disappointed in not being able to do that...maybe possible after the exam? Thank you for a great experience!”

“Feels great to have my boating license and to be able to boat with confidence. I did find the lessons a bit repetitive and in some cases scenarios that don't apply to me based on where I use my boat, but over all it is an easy to use and very accessible program.”

“The program is easy to use, however I would rather not have a timer on each page. Some pages I read faster than others but was forced to wait until the timer ran out.”

“This was a very thorough introduction and preparation for the PCOC exam. My one complaint was the questions that I answered incorrectly were not identified. I would like to know which ones I missed and what the correct answer is. Thank you.”
