I really enjoyed the BoatSmart course. Very informative and learned a lot. Good course material and presentation. Challenging and effective module quizzes to help prepare for the exam. The one thing that would have been helpful to me is to see what quiz and exam questions I answered incorrectly. At this point, I’m still not 100% sure which ones I answered incorrectly. Regards, Jim

I learnt a lot I didn't know, so it was informative. It was very long and some information was repetitive. I was surprised that one of the suggestions was to use a hand gun. I didn't think that was legal in Canada. Can't wait to get in the boat!

I find it puzzling that at the end of each module you take a quiz and need a certain mb ark to pass. The problem being that you dont get to see the answers that were wrong . When doing the final checkout you could be seeing the same question and answer it incorrectly again . How do you learn from this format ?????

It was very good in educating me all about how to be boat smart and boat safety but i found it was a very long and boring course

No need for trick quiz questions, just need to be straight forward with multiple a, b, c, d. As course is exhausting due to time each module takes.

I found the course very informative and easy to navigate through. The process is very fair and even enjoyable. Although I didn't retain it all I have learned important aspects of boating and know where to go if I have a question that needs an answer.

The course contained all the material anyone might want to know about boating safety and proper operation. The modules were well segregated. I hated the timer that prevented me from advancing to the next page until it expired. I decided to read the material on the page as opposed to listening to the audio clip or watching the video, and I consistently finished a page with 20 - 40 seconds remaining on the timer. Not being able to advance at this point and having to stare at the screen waiting for the timer to expire was extremely annoying. With about 30 pages per module and 7 modules, it drew out the course (by about 1.5 wasted hours) and made it painful as opposed to interesting or fun.

A well layout course to teach you boating habits, rules and regulations. I was disappointed that they did not tell you the question you got wrong. I now have to assume all my answers are correct but I know some were wrong...hmmm...I just don't know which ones.

Good but the multiple choice questions always seemed to be about the least relevant information in my opinion.

I didn't have the text content of the course and therefore I made notes all through the course which were quite extensive. I spent a lot of hours on the course and review time (more than 15 hours) which I was not expecting. It was long. I am, however, very glad to have passed the test and get my Pleasure Craft Operator Card. Thank you.

Would only ask/suggest to let the person know what questions you got wrong on the quiz in order to review that topic

I really liked the videos because just when you see you have 21-52 videos on a mudule you see the video and it's fun, engaging and you learn a lot! Plus lots of information was given. :-)

I think the course was informative and appropriate. I would like to know where I made mistakes and would have appreciated this info so I can be confident in future boating.
