“The class was well put together and equipped me for the exam. It was easy to follow and complete. The biggest frustration was the timer for each video which didn’t always match the video. Many times I had to wait 10-50 seconds after the video was complete to move to the next lesson.”

“Overall it's a quality course. There were some questions on the Transport Canada exam that I do not remember being covered in the BOATsmart material.”

“I think it's a very informative and clever course that will test your knowledge. It's very important to do this course and it's fun to actually learn ar the same time. Thanks Boat smart ! Well done”

“There was some good and mandatory information and I like that I could do it online. However, I found that information was repeated numerous time unnecessarily, thus causing the course to be at least twice as long as required. In addition, the modules are too long. Lastly, it would be beneficial to identify the right answers to questions answered incorrectly after taking the quizzes.”

“It takes time to do but it’s eventually worth every penny. My main advice is not to worry about time on the final test I finished with 30 min left and got a 96”

“All you need to be well prepared. Little downside is that it takes a lot of time, more than 2 failed questions per module means the entire module all over again. It is best done all at once with the test right after. Plan for 4-5hrs and get rid of it!”

“The course itself is excellent. But the time limit is just plain stupidity. There is no reason for the time limit. I got very frustrated and it ended up taking me longer to do then it should have because I kept coming back and doing only small amounts at a time because I couldn't sit and wait forever for the stupid time.”

“This course was well worth my time. I grew up on a lake with minimal markers. I learned more for larger rivers. Very easy to follow and timeline was good.”

“I think that the course was very informative and easy to understand and recommend everyone take the exam boater or not,understanding the rules is crucial for safety driver, spotter or passenger.”

“I would like to see when doing the modules, that the timer is not there because many times I had to wait for the timer to expire before I could move onto the next slide of the module. A bit annoying because I can read faster than the timer. I would suggest to get rid of the timer on the slides in the modules.”

“I don’t think you should have to review a whole module again if you receive a 70 percent on a quiz. You should allow one more chance to complete another quiz. It is very time consuming and most things are common sense.”
