“The BEST beans! I will never go back to tinned beans again. The flavour and texture are incredible, I could literally just eat them straight out the jar and I go through about 3 jars a week. They're definitely worth the price! I also love all the beanspo and recipes on their website and Instagram, never had a bad one. I promise you will not regret trying these”
“Such delicious beans and a good variety to pick from for all meals. I’ve got a subscription and find that I’m able to add them into most meals which suits me as a vegetarian. I’d recommend anyone who isn’t a fan of beans to try their butter beans or red beans as they’re so much better than regular tinned ones. Especially since they taste so fresh you can eat them out of the jar!”
“I've now had three deliveries of a box subscription from Bold Beans. I first heard about them on BBC food programme on radio 4. I have almost entirely given up on buying tinned beans. We are not a vegetarian household but like to eat a good few meat free meals a week. These beans have quite a luxurious mouthfeel - really tender and are tasty enough to eat out of the jar, say added to salad. We usually make stew type dishes with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, soups or curries. Great recipe inspiration on the website. Easy to change a subscription order if you want to switch things up.”
“I believe (but am not sure)that legumes are good for keeping your cholesterol down, that they actually soak up cholesterol and take it out of the body. I bought cans from the supermarket then progressed to the bold bean and having tasted them could not go back to the can; the taste is something else,it might cost more but it is worth it😋😋”
“Have been trying to reduce the amount of meat on my diet and the deliciousness of Bold Beans has made a big difference! I buy a mixed pack of different varieties on a regular basis. They are so tasty as a main course - and as a snack for that matter - I enjoy them almost as much as meat! And great to see the range expanding - the new borlotti beams are a great latest addition.”
“Absolutely brilliant beans. Their jarred beans are a world away from any tinned beans, once you’ve tried them you’ll never go back. The regular delivery of a box of beans means you get to try different types and the price is brilliant. You can alter the selection easily and delivery is fast. Try it and become an obsessive .”
“Bold Beabs are quite simply THE best beans. They have a huge variety and each type is delicious. Where other beans sometimes need a bit of cooking, these can be eaten cold, easy to use as the base of a hearty salads or cooked up in their delicious stock for quick, healthy, comforting delicious food. Use them instead of pasta or rice - delicious.”
Thank you for the kind words Jo! We couldn’t agree more – they are perfect for so many dishes, whether you’re eating them straight from the jar or cooking them up into a BIG comforting meal. We’re so happy to hear you're enjoying the variety and versatility!
“I first saw, Bold Bean Co, on “Dragon’s Den”. What enticed me was the fact all the judges were describing the taste of the chickpeas. As someone who predominantly eats a plant based diet I decided to give them a go and bought some jars directly from the company. Upon their arrival I could not wait to try them and I was utterly amazed at how wonderful these tasted, creamy and soft. The stock in which they are jarred is also delicious. These are a necessity in my house now! Chickpeas are amazing because you can do so much with them, but Bold Bean Co chickpeas are the best! They taste nothing like the supermarket tinned chickpeas! I make hummous, have them in salads but mostly I love them in curry’s! My favourite curry is a “Peanut Butter” curry with lots of lovely spices, onions, chilli’s, potato, sweetcorn, peanut butter (naturally) but the ‘ pièce de résistance’ is emptying the chickpeas and the stock into the curry which gives it a lovely creamy texture!
I have genuinely never tasted beans that taste so delicious and I ALWAYS recommend ‘Bold Bean Co’ to friends and family.”
“Found your brand through my daughter who raved about them. So, I purchased some and can see what she meant. Another level on the giant beanstalk of life. Tasty, hearty recipes in the book, (that I also purchased) I’m
Working my way through this and look forward to buying more of your splendid product!”
“Once you've discovered Bold Beans, there's no going back to bland tinned beans. These are beans on the next level and the cooking stock is also delicious. I will admit to eating them straight out of the jar, they're that tasty. But also when used in cooking they add excellent flavour and a soft texture. Adding the stock along with the beans gives sauce based dishes a velvety texture and helps make the sauce homogeneous. I find them more digestible than other beans, I'm assuming it's due to the slow cooking. I particularly love the Queen beans and recently invested in a case of the limited edition Borlotti. I recommend them to everyone, I'm that converted!”
“I already loved chickpeas but the Queen variety is sensational, as are the butter beans. I am so looking forward to expanding my familiarity with other beans and I absolutely love the cook. There isn’t a single recipe I wouldn’t prepare or eat!”
“I was told about Bold Beans by a friend and immediately ordered some. I now have a monthly subscription. They are so much better than tinned beans, I can easily eat Bold Beans straight out of the jar. I love the fact that I don't need to rinse them either and I have now stopped using stock cubes if I'm making a bean dish because the bean liquid adds additional flavour and salt. We have also reduced the amount of meat that we eat and love making the Bold Bean recipes. The jars are really useful too. All the small ones I use for dried herbs and spices (thank goodness I saved them before the small jars were stopped) and the larger ones I use as storage jars and vases for my jam jar posies. Love, love, love them”
“I saw Bold Beans on Dragon’s Den and I already had a jar in the cupboard so was keen to try them. I’ve tried four recipes from the book so far and all of them have been quick, easy and tasty. Last night I had my favourite so far from the book with pancetta, peas, tomatoes, mascarpone and of course butter beans. I used to hate butter beans but not any more.”
