“Sadly I will not be buying anything again from bonmarch? I went to take my parcel back to the post and the outrageous prices they charge to return parcel is ridiculous!”

“Purchased 2 x pairs of trousers . Cost of delivery and return was a third of the price for the goods!!! Returned a week ago and still no refund! We wouldnt use this company online again.”

“Use to love to shop in Bonmarché, like so many others have been caught out today. Ordered on line, paid through PayPal to add extra security while shopping online, and it gets paid to Bonmarche straight away, so they have definitely got your money and you have paid for your items, went into town to collect order from Bonmarche which was my chosen store, where I collect my clothes from, one item came up too small, asked to change for bigger size, and then get told basically you can not do this as you paid through PayPal, you need to return it, “ok please can I return it” sorry you basically cannot return it here, because you paid through PayPal, you have to take it home and take it to an Evri parcel shop”. Just tried to return it through Evri, now I need to pay £2.99 to return a Bonmarche jumper, because Bonmarche have changed the terms, if you pay through PayPal , you can collect your items from a normal Bonmarche shop, you cannot exchange in shop, etc, so please be very careful how you pay for your items, as something that should be simple has basically cost more money and time delay.”

“Bon Marche need to up their game re: PayPal refunds. Other retailers can refund items bought online via PayPal with no fuss so why can't Bon Marche??”

“Do not purchase with PayPal online as If you want to return item they will not accept it in store you have to post it and it can take ages for the whole process to go through before you get your money back.”

“I ordered two items from Bonmarche and I was waiting for this two weeks. When I picked up my order from the shop I have been told that in case I would like to do return, the one of my two items has to be returned directly to the sender for which I need to pay, so the return postage cost me £5.00. You can pick you order up from the store for free but not necessary you have free returns. This was my first and last purchase online from Bonmarche.”

“I have bought Susie Slim Leg jeans for many years and have been delighted with them, however I bought three pairs recently and they are dreadful quality. The fabric is thinner and when washed they have lost a lot of colour, especially the black ones. I’m now looking for alternative jeans which I’m so disappointed about. Maybe this is due to a new supplier Bonmarche”

“Ordered a top in my normal size (which I’ve in before) but this wasn’t least 2 sizes too small! Then to add insult to injury I had to pay to return it!! Not happy at all! Ps: I should say I am not near any of their shops.”

“My experiences at my local Bon Marche have previously always been good - good quality clothes and efficient and pleasant staff. However, I recently bought a pair of black jeans and, as always when buying jeans (usually from elsewhere), I gave them a gentle wash before the first wear. The colour immediately faded tremendously and the jeans look worn and very old. I have worn them once and on that occasion felt that they appeared so old and scruffy that I am going to take them to a charity shop. I know they were very cheap (£18) but I shall not buy jeans at Bon Marche again as this pair has been a complete waste of money. I would advise other customers to avoid jeans from the store too.”
