“Very chaotic experience. Instead of promised 3 hours trip, we were 6. 5 hours on the road. The ferry took us to Almirante instead of Chiriquí, which lead to way more hours than originally indicated. The staff was very stressed during departure and change from ferry to bus. Also there were too many people on the bus, which ultimately lead to two persons standing on the bus trip. The advertised drop-off at your hotel of choice obvoiusly didn‘t happen. Instead everybody had to simply get off at the town centre. All in all not a bad trip per se, but don‘t promise things you can‘t keep. I think we would have had a similar comfortable experience taking the local bus and would have come off way cheaper.”

Our support team has investigated this issue, and the operator informed us that bad weather caused blockages, preventing transfers from reaching the hotel. They were able to drop you off as close as possible, which was about 2 km away from your hotel. Unfortunately, this situation was beyond the supplier's control. “Bookaway's level of service is very poor. Firstly, don't ever try to book a ticket less than 24 hours in advance, as Bookaway will take your money but might not send you the confirmation in time so you will be left without a ticket. If you try to call their support line, no one will answer, but you will be told you are #1 in the queue for all eternity. Finally, they will ask you for a review after you use a service, but if it is negative they will not post it publicly. Very dishonest company.”

“Service très médiocre, aucun moyen de les avoir par téléphone pour poser une question. Il y a avait un service de pick-up à l'hôtel mais comme impossible de les avoir au téléphone, impossible donc de demander. Résultat un tuktuk jusqu'à l'agence...”
