“Overall I'm hopeful about this platform but it's been a struggle to get the app/site to work properly and it's impacting my care. There are many issues with the lessons and the observations you're supposed to provide, making it hard to get the full benefit. The app/site just doesn't work properly so I often can't complete the lessons before meeting with my therapist and by the time I can complete them we need to move on to other topics or way too much time has gone by.
I also don't understand the decision to just allow booking one appointment at a time. This makes it very hard to plan and schedule, as often by the time I'll allowed to book my next appointment, my therapist has very few sessions available. This has meant I'd needed to go weeks between sessions, rather than meeting weekly.
Lastly, the reminders for appointments are too frequent. Getting multiple emails, texts, push notifications leading up to every appointment is a bit much.”
“Well, I have had two appointments and one of them was cancelled. This is why I left Better help. I got the feeling that as a telehelp patient isn’t as important as an in person patient.”
“Such a breath of fresh air to finally get great quality care for my mental health struggles. I’ve already been recommending this app to my friends/family because of how easy it is to navigate and how heard I feel.”
“Brightside has become a very nice new part of life. I came for help. Listed my symptoms and what I thought they could be. My Doctor listened and now I'm taking a medicine that's really helping me with my day to day. My doctor is always there to answer questions and is on top of it when I voice any side affects that I may be feeling. All in all I give Brightside a solid 10/10. I've had nothing but a great experience.”
“I had a difficult time relating to sky off the Paychiatrists I saw in Person, and then I looked at my Aetna site and saw this option for online help. This Nurse Practitioner is the first person I talked to who listens to me and helps me. And it’s been very easy to get my medicine and correspond with her when I need to. I suggest Brightside to others, as it is very hard to find someone good.”
“The providers are good. However the user interface and email/text messaging seem to be out of sync. I receive messages that there is something for me to complete online, but when I go to the website I cannot find it. And in general, the site is difficult to navigate. Maybe it is better on the app, but I do not have an Apple device.”
“Both my therapist and my provider have been beyond amazing. The check-ins, reminders (because I will gladly push it off because I’m “busy”), the ease of it all has been so great. So thankful there’s something like this at my fingertips.”
“Little by little I feel like I am improving. Still not totally dialed in but I have noticed improvement. My episodes seem to have decreased and not lasting as long.”
“Dealing with a teenager with high anxiety and psychiatric issues it has been hard to make time for my own mental health. Brightside helps me fit my own care into my life. The app helps me remember to schedule and attend my appointments. The process is simple so even when my depression and anxiety try to tell me it's not worth it I can still pull thru and join my session. My providers are both awesome, I feel heard and understood. The app checkins, although I don't always complete them, remind me on a regular basis to stop and checkin with myself. I have a long way to go but brightside has definitely helped me start to take care of myself.”
