“When I first found bright side I was in crisis and had no insurance. I'd already been going to therapy outside of brightside but was having a really hard time finding a psychiatrist I felt comfortable with and could trust. My experience with my assigned psychiatrist has been kind, effective and straight to the point. I appreciate the time he took during my intake call to listen to me and my concerns about past medications that didn't work for me. I have been trying to handle my mental health without meds for years because of misprescribed meds and misdiagnosis. I've always felt rushed out of offices, never had things explained to me and overall felt dismissed and ultimately never helped. My psychiatrist was understanding and patient with me explaining exactly why and how these meds would be best to work for me. He also understood how important it was I get meds ASAP and took steps to get them to me the next day AND found a goodRX code for me to get a discounted price at pickup from a pharmacy. The check-ins are just the right amount of interaction for me and he always answers any questions I have within the day. Overall Brightside has been amazing for me. My meds are working wonders and I'm so grateful to the psychiatrist they assigned to me.”
“I am very satisfied with the medication management. I was not impressed with the therapy option available however it may be simply not a good fit for me personally.”
“I am not super satisfied with Brightside. I am happy that I was able to quickly get a provider, however the online site is confusing and hard to navigate. I often have trouble figuring out how to message my provider quickly. The online check-ins are frustrating in that they score you in how you rate on a depression and anxiety scale, which sometimes labels you are "minimally depressed/anxious"- which is not necessarily accurate. Simply because my medication is helping my symptoms does not mean I am "minimally" mentally ill. This rating process comes off as minimizing my experience. Additionally, several times my provider has taken more than 72 hours to respond to me, and I have gone without getting a refill on my prescription, leaving me with withdrawal side effects. For $95 dollars a month, all of these inconveniences are frustrating, especially when there are many sites out there who provide the same type of service as Brightside.”
“The idea is nice, but the response times are so slow and I e been out of my anxiety med for a week because the psychiatrist upped my dose and my insurance needs prior auth which brightside doesn't do. So now I have to go back to my doctor so I can get it refilled. Going on week 2 and I'm miserable. So it's kind of a joke”
“Using Brightside has been so easy & convenient. I feel heard by both providers I work with and seem to have finally found some meds that are helping. I do wish the therapy sessions were closer to an hour like the in-person ones I'm used to. 30 minutes just always seems to go by so fast! I also love the check-in graph where I can see my progress - on days where it feels like I haven't made any it's nice to see a visual representation. Overall I really love Brightside!”
