“I don’t like that my therapy sessions are only 45 minutes long… especially when I’ll be getting to the hook of my problems and then it has to end so quickly .”
“Since I pay $95 per month and I only get an appointment every three months, I am paying $285 for a ten minute meeting. Which I knew going into it. However, I just looked at my profile and I don’t have a refill of my medication for another 20 days and I only have about three days of medication left. It’s a very anxiety-inducing situation to be in. And criminally expensive.”
“Appointments are only booked after a session and are very limited for the counselors. Providers are impossible to communicate with and even WORSE to schedule.
Very disappointed in this entire program.”
“I am very disappointed in the lack of clarity about the charges to my account. Upon signing up I was relieved to be quoted $0 for simply a medication refill. Imagine my surprise to get an invoice for over $200 a month later. NOT affordable as advertised. I wanted to warn others of the blindside for those with a deductible with their prices.”
“I am having a bad experience so far because I was told I have a refill but my pharmacy said there was never another order sent through so I don't have the medication. I don't know when he will respond I also requested a review. I don't know if I will be charged. Not enough support. This is causing me more stress instead of helping.”
“No complaints other than the fact that I NEED XANAX FOR ANXIETY!!!!! Dr. Jones said Brightside doesn't allow her to. I'm 40 yrs old w a special needs 14yr old. ITS MEDICALLY NECESSARY ESPECIALLY DUE TO MY BRAIN INJURY FROM A CAR ACCIDENT I HAD IN 07. CHANGE THAT POLICY BECAUSE ITS WRONG OF BRIGHTSIDE TO DO THAT. PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF NEED IT & DONT ABUSE IT. IM GOING TO CHANGE TO ANOTHER DR DUE TO THIS.”
“I don't like the care l have received. The current doctor took me off my ability. Luckily, l still have some.
He was judgemental, and took me off the medication that helps me the most. I would like another doctor to take over my care”
“I don’t feel like my providers were a great fit and I’m too overwhelmed and it’s too much energy and executive function to find new ones. I avoid the emails and texts. The digital format for care doesn’t seem to work well for me”
“For the amount I pay I don’t necessarily get anything out of Brightside. I can’t afford 200 dollars a month for a session with a therapist. So my plan is the cheapest and it gives me nothing in return. No point in continuing paying.”
“I have requested a new therapist. Have not received one since I started. However I do have a provider for perscriptions. This is not the desired care I wanted. Tempted to go with another provider so that I can have a therapist to speak with and a provider. I don't think i'm asking for too much to see a different therapist.”
“I’ll be honest, I got discouraged and turned off when I had a medical emergency and had to cancel an appointment. They still charged me $70 even tho I let my therapist know an hour in advance (asap as it was a medical emergency). I got the refund about a week later but that made me feel so small and uncomfortable. I want to be a patient first, not a customer first.”
“I have not had the best of luck or overall success with the app and therapist. I enjoyed working through the exercises I was first offered but they are no longer available. I have had difficultly getting responses from staff, reps or techs.”
“Made three appointments with two different therapists. The first didn't show up, twice, and the second had technical issues on our first visit and I didn't want to try again. Medication service and related communications have been ok.”
