“I’m having a bad experience with Brightside. No one will get back in touch with me. My therapist never joined a session and I can’t get a response from anyone to switch. I do keep getting messages to reschedule and I just want to switch providers due to lack of communication as well. The PA/Psychiatrist is leaving the company soon. We’ve had issues getting a prior authorization for a medication I just started taking. I couldn’t continue treatment and am having horrible side effects due to insurance not approving. Now I’m being asked to review but I still haven’t gotten a response from anyone regarding any concerns.”
“The program is the best help I have ever received. I am already doing better in four weeks than I have my entire life. I would recommend the program to anyone and everyone. The people are wonderful to work with, the "homework" is fantastic and if you take it seriously, it will help turn you into a better version of yourself.”
“I think Brightside is great! The only issue I’m having with the app is that when I click on the app, I am immediately take to “therapy. Book for your first session”. And it will not let me go back or go to any other page or feature. The only way I’m able to use the app is if I click what I need (the message tab for example) super super fast after opening the app, before I’m taken to the therapy book your first session screen. That’s annoying. But aside from that, Brightside has really helped me.”
“I really like both of my providers but working with Brightside Health is giving me anxiety. They email and text every day, sometimes multiple times per day - aaaagghhh!!”
“Amazing service with wonderful providers and therapists. I feel heard and seen by Brightside and they have accommodated me every time I have reached out.”
“The initial appointment was great. The process seemed easy and effortless. Now that I am needing to get my prescription refilled, I have messaged my care provider and not heard back. My pharmacy has sent a request to refill and a week later it still hasn’t been refilled.”
“I appreciate the support and guidance I have been receiving. I feel so much better than when I made my first appointment. I feel like I’ve gotten my life back. I plan on continuing services with my therapist and psychiatrist.”
“While I think organizations like Brightside can helpful, I wouldn't recommend them to people with other options through health insurance.
In my experience, the mental health team has either been very slow or responded with too little information, which was sometimes confusing to me as a patient, who was concerned with the mixture of medications I was prescribed.
In the end, I just told my provider what medication I wanted to take, which I had taken in the past and had to move things forward for myself. It didn't seem like I was receive guidance and support from a professional. Just a few things to keep in mind for the leaders at the Brightside and potential patients.”
