“I don’t know if this is an issue with Brightside as a whole or just my first provider, but my experience was extremely disappointing.
My initial provider was unresponsive throughout my care. Whenever I reached out with questions, concerns, or because I needed help, I received no response. The only communication I consistently received was a notice that she would be out of the office and that I should schedule accordingly.
I went without my prescription for an entire month because I couldn’t get the support I needed. Eventually, I had to switch to a new provider just to receive answers and appropriate care.
This experience was not only frustrating—it was traumatic. When you’re receiving mental health treatment, you place a great deal of trust in your provider. I trusted mine, and when I needed support the most, I felt completely abandoned. It left me feeling like my well-being simply didn’t matter.
As a paying patient, I expected timely communication, continuity of care, and support during a vulnerable time. Instead, I was left without medication or guidance. I believe this situation should be reviewed so that other patients do not have to experience what I did. No one seeking mental health care should ever feel ignored or unsupported when they reach out for help.”
“I was doing good, but I do not see my already scheduled appointments. This is aggravated that I have to start all over with a new therapist. This is not good.”
“Well my psychiatrist was kind and all that but it was not helping. If I send a message and have an appointment weeks later and when we finally have appointment she doesn't realize she had overlooked my message the prior weeks. Oh well human understood. The medication didnt help and it just seemed i was paying to say hey to someone and say a few things for 90$ a month. Ill make it on my own. Thanks for trying to help!”
“Iv been feeling better I still have moments of feeling like something bad will happen when I’m happy but I have been able to some what keep the thoughts away and not feed into them. My mood is better I’m not as sad or unmotivated but I’m still sleeping a lot even with me making sure I get out and get some vitamin D”
