“No, it really isn't working for me. I don't feel that a 15 minute check in is even remotely sufficient care. I don't feel a personal connection to, or rapport with, my provider. I don't appreciate being bombarded with text messages, emails, and in-app messages every 5 days to fill out a GAD-7. None of it works for me.”
“I have had a terrible time using this service:
The providers do not communicate at all with Brightside or "administration" and I'm constantly inundated with prompts to schedule appointments when I do not need them. Med checks should be like a monthly thing, not weekly.
I feel like the psychiatric side of things was just trying to push medication on me. Several times it's felt like I'm just an item to check off the list for the day rather than an actual person.
When transferred to the "crisis care" program, something got so messed up in the system that the appointment I had already waited two weeks for wasn't legitimate on the provider's end of things so I then had to wait *another two weeks* to be seen by a therapist. Went from supposed to be seeing the therapist once/week to waiting a month to be seen because of a software error. So much for "crisis" care.
Am always asked to arrive 5 minutes early but regularly have to wait 5-10 minutes past my appointment time for my provider to show up.
Brightside sucks. Mental healthcare software should make accessing care easier. Do better.”
“It takes forever to see a licensed psychiatrist, my psychiatrist is in Israel and in a different time zone, his hours do not work with mine, I have only been able to talk to him once and he prescribed a medicine with potential lethal consequences. This is not an effective system at all.”
“I am not happy with the service. I had one first initial session with Amanda and nothing since then. They only send me emails to answer questions on my status of how I am feeling. It is not personal or engaging at all.”
“Very disappointed I chose your company because you accepted my insurance. In addition I requested itemized bills which you said were sent but I never received.

“I would rate Brightside 5/5 stars. Being able to schedule an appointment and be seen within 48 hours was awesome. I was able to get treated quickly prior to a flight that was causing me some anxiety and to begin long term treatment. My provider was so professional and took time to listen to my concerns, my issues, and determine what would work best for me. I did not feel rushed during my appointment and felt like my provider truly listened to me. I really like the assessments that are provided weekly to be able to track progress.”
“I hate that I’m having trouble with the medication I stop taking it cause I couldn’t stay awake and when I called and told the doctor she said it’s normal . Well that is not how I want to live my life on a medication that I can not do everyday things. I couldn’t stay awake no matter how hard I tried I could not function”
“This is a poor experience all around. Zero guidance. I can't get in touch with someone for simple prescription needs. The website is not intuitive and it does not provide me with the straight forward process I need, which again is simple, just medication without lapse. I'm also getting a variety of bills at different rates and there is not breakdown of what any of it is for.”
“Brightside has actually worsened my mental health. I take it very personally when my therapist doesn’t show up for our appointments and now she has only showed up 1 time out of three. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.”
“Communication n connection is a huge issue, I’m down to 3 pills and haven’t received a way to reschedule my missed appointment that was missed due to connectivity issues, u mean the assigned dr. can’t take 5 seconds to call n see if there is a problem? $94 a month for this is awful”
