“I am having a great experience with Zoloft and a fine experience with Brightside. The clinician I spoke to was an acceptable fit, but the main value she has added is as a prescriber. I do quite like the checkins they email you. Tracking progress that way is helpful. Ultimately this service feels like a commodity to me, and I only picked Brightside because it seemed fine and I was doing my best not to overoptimize.”
“Very accessible, could have more frequent check-ins/communication. Also, had a bad experience with therapy option but happier with psychiatrist option.”
“3 out of 5.
I was happy to get diagnosed and work on my ADHD and Anxiety -- but I feel largely unheard when I mention it isn't working. I was told we were updating my meds but I received the same dose once again. I pay quite a bit monthly for this service and to feel unheard isn't.. great.”
“Unsure. As of now I haven't the right medication to treat the mild anxiety and depression. The first medication caused a hives breakout Bupropion. The second medication makes me feel irritable. Therapy is going well and I enjoy the lessons on coping skills. Also, I think the monthly price $349 is high.”
“I was disappointed in your therapy offering as it seemed to follow a pre-set method. I wish you offered clients the ability to talk to a therapist that uses other methods. The medication service is great though!”
“It helped short-term. But, is overpriced for my needs. I already have a personal counselor. I really just needed to meet with the doctor for medication. I lost my job, and have now found another one. So, I need to cancel and stair-step down. It is one-size fits all and that should really be considered moving forward.”
“I think they are great. My doctor/psychiatrist has gone above and beyond for me and has stuck by my side through my entire journey. I would give 5 stars but Brightside did not have enough therapist for me which made me lean more on my prescriber, which she has been doing both jobs in sense and great at it.”
“The only thing that is challenging is that they don’t make it easy to submit the costs to my insurance carrier. I know they don’t want to handle insurance claims, but they could at least offer invoices so I can turn in the receipt to get reimbursed.”
“I enjoy how efficient it is to get medication but I don’t receive any other benefits from having this service and I don’t think the price is worth the “treatment””
“i think there should be some kind of discount if im not even getting to speak to the doctor once a month. i make minimum wage and i’m just trying to do what i can afford to take care of my mental health but $100 plus $15 for meds when i don’t even get to talk to a dr i just fill out a 2 second survey is kinda pricey. i just started using this service last month and i spoke to the doctor one time and she was very nice and helpful but it seems kind of unfair to pay the same amount whether i speak to her or not. $115 for a prescription refill :(”
