Before I started using the help of Brightside, I was in this place in my head that I was not able to control or even understand. I didn’t know what I was going through until I went through really dark times in my life and didn’t know where to turn or how to stop it. My wife seeking help for me came across Brightside and gave me the phone to answer the questioner. I did, and it indicated that I was going through depression, I was the guy who didn’t believe in depression. All I knew was to suck it up, man up and keep going. It help me to understand that what I was going through was actually something and not just ideas in my head or someone else idea of me just being depressed - me removing myself from friends and family, always being angry, always being annoyed by everything, having so much hate in my heart and mind was not the person that I really was but that I was really going through something.
I believe that me speaking about my feelings that day to my wife; was me finally being tired of being that way. Brightside is helping me with medication but it really helped me to know that I have a problem and to know that it’s not just me by myself in my head that is going to help me long term. There’s people out there who actually help not just by providing pills but with the words that they say and share with someone actually help more than any pill.
After Brightside I also looked for help from GOD, and I have been able to feel better and be a better person. I know it is cause of GOD that I’m feeling better. But again I thank Brightside team as well, for making a difference in my life. I still have some days where I don’t feel that great and I temp to tear up, not sure why but I’m taking it day by day.
