We've just had a smart meter installation and the engineer was superb. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We are less than happy, however, at the large imminent price-rise.

Was excellent but now following several price hikes it is more expensive than other providers hence 3 star rating Also found addresses mixed up and not listed correctly which has stopped me from moving to another provider easily. I need to speak to bulb to sort it out . On the positive , the staff are extremely good, polite, intelligent and they always sort out your request or issue and get back to you when they say they will do so

I'd heard good things about bulb, and the renewable energy part was a big seller. It was unfortunate that in less than 6 months there have been 2 price rises, although they have promised to put the price down when they can.

Hi there, Thanks for leaving us a review. We’re sorry to put prices up for the second time this year, at a time that we know is difficult for lots of our members. Wholesale prices - those that energy firms pay for gas and electric - have surged to their highest levels since 2018 due to post-lockdown demand, which is why a typical member will now see a slight increase in their billing, paying £1.33 more for their energy a week. As our tariff is in keeping with wholesale costs, when these go down, we do indeed pass these savings back on to our members. Straightforward one price which is great. However, they do like you to build up your credit and pay in advance. Took far too long to give me a refund. I'm leaving my current property and am well in credit but the system won't let me reduce my next payment as much as I'd like. Good ethos, good communication, reasonable price. Probably better than most companies.

Great customer service during the transition from the pervious suppliers over to Blub. I like the language used on communications, jolly & informal, but informative.

Bulb did say they were cheaper than my previous supplier but I have not found this to be true. They do send you good information

Won't let me get a credit meter despite being with them for 18 months. Very poor service.

Hi Preston, Thanks for leaving us a review. I'm sorry that you've not been able to have your prepay meters exchanged for Direct Debit meters. We do have to run a soft credit check to be able to make this exchange, and we require a pass to be able to go forward with this. Hi there, Thanks for leaving us a review. We’ve had to increase our prices because the cost of supplying energy has increased significantly. Our tariff reflects the true cost of energy on the wholesale market, so as these costs are up by 29% since March, we have to reflect this in our tariff.
