I had been with a 'very well known' supplier for over 20 years and let me down time and time again. I decided to change and thank goodness I did....wish I had changed to BULB long before now. Service, cost, information provided and professionalism. First class all round.

Bulb have been disappointing for several reasons. They persistently send emails regarding the installation of a Smart Meter, even though they are aware that I am a tenant and I always submit meter readings. They have not honoured the £50 refer a friend payment for me or my friend and have raised prices significantly. They don't seem to be properly addressing the issue of off peak electricity tariffs for electric car-charging yet either, so are behind other suppliers. I'll be switching suppliers when I move out of this property.

Hi Julie, I've responded to the other review you left, but I'll respond here too. I'm sorry you've not had a good experience with Bulb so far. We can add you to a list to make sure that we don't contact about smart meters again if you can't have them installed as a tenant. Probably not the best idea to request me to review this service. Charged for A period of four months for my energy twice after moving home. The bill was paid in full prior to our move, however once in our new property we found the previous tenant had pay as you go meters. Bulb promised for months to rectify this situation and replace these meters. They never did, instead as stated above they continued to charge us our monthly credit payment fee’s as well as is having to top up manually. Got excuse after excuse from the company and in the end eventually got the four months payments back and we are still on the poxi pay and go style meters. Absolutely terrible company, used to be fantastic but in all honesty I would avoid them like the plague!!!!

Hi David, I'm really sorry to hear our systems got it wrong regarding your meters in your new property, and that you wound up topping up and paying a direct debit. Rarely we'll have the wrong technical details for a meter, and in these cases a mismatch like the one you described can occur. I'd like to make sure you now get credit (pay monthly) meters installed at the property. I'm glad you've been refunded the double payments, and it sounds like this is the last step to getting it all sorted. It's not cheap . They refuse to check my smart meter. I pay bills 180 pounds for two bedrooms house. Can't give 0 star

Hi Gabriel, I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with what you've been paying Bulb for your energy. We can absolutely test the meter for accuracy, the only reason we'd advise against this is that 93% of meters tested are recording accurately and in this case there's a £120 charge for the work. If it were to be found to be recording incorrectly we'd refund any overcharges and replace the meter for free. Bulb seem to be a decent supplier with reasonable customer service but I find it annoying that I have to physically read both meters every month when the house is already fitted with a smart meter - why aren’t smart meters standardised so they can be used by different suppliers? Apart from this Bulb are OK
