I am so annoyed. I cannot believe I switched. I was in £282 in credit with Green Network energy before and they switched to EDF so I decided I will go with Bulb as they promised low prices too. I am now in £307 debit 5 months in. How ridiculous is there price increase. rip off!!!!!

Hi Christina, Thanks for leaving us a review. I've been able to find your account from the email associated with your review. It does look like there is some debt built up on the account, as your monthly usage was higher than your monthly payment amount when you first joined us. As a result, we have had to increase your payments, to offset some of this debt and cover your usage. Wholesale costs are up by 29% since March, when we last changed our prices. Absolute scammers. Came in with a good price so I switched. Less than 7 days after the official switchover my prices increase. Two months later, my prices increase again by an estimated £4.50 per week!! So now I am paying far more than my old supplier. This company needs to be investigated, I do not expect they will be around long as this is clearly a con.

Hi there, Thanks for leaving us a review. We’ve had to increase our prices because the cost of supplying energy has increased significantly. Wholesale costs are up by 29% since March, when we last changed our prices. At Bulb, we don’t have fixed-term contracts, or charge exit fees. So you’re free to change suppliers at any time. We’ve let you know about the changes 30 days before the new tariff takes effect. This gives you time to make a decision about whether you'd like to stay with Bulb. Suppliers change their tariff throughout the year. Unfortunately, because of this, we can’t give you advance notice of any price changes. Because of this, a typical member will now see a slight increase in their billing, paying £1.33 more for their energy a week. We don’t like to do this, but because our tariff is low to reflect the true cost of energy, we have to change our prices when wholesale energy costs change. After these changes, a typical member will pay £1.33 more for their energy a week. I’m very pleased to have switched. I am saving a lot of money and energy and I think I have made the right choice. If I’d stayed with my last energy company I would still be paying more. I am very happy.

After using Look After My Bills to find a cheaper energy provider, Bulb were recommended so I went with them. However, since joining Bulb about three months ago, I have received TWO separate emails telling me they're putting their prices up! The first price rise came literally the day after I joined, which was a bit of a pain and then the second notice came about two weeks ago. The amount I'm paying with Bulb is now exactly the same as I was paying with my previous provider. A pointless energy provider changeover. I had high hopes for joining Bulb but I after they've raised their energy prices twice in three months, I'm feeling rather disappointed.

Browsing the compare sites for a better deal for our electricity, Bulb came as one of the top ones to look into further. We are pleased we chose them as the account we have with them is so simple to understand and also to administer. There is only one tariff and and as we can change suppliers at any time - should we be unsatisfied - with no charge to pay, we are not tied into a contract that runs for x number of months. We receive a bill every month with all the details we could possibly need and after being with them for about 3 months now we are more than happy with them. I had to ring them on one occasion with a query and found the staff very pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable and helpful.
