“There was a slight glitch in ordering online which showed one left in stock but when I ordered I got a message that they were out of stock. Was a bit fortunate I was passing by their location to be able to pick up item enroute. No problems with quality of item or service provided when collected.”

“I was very impressed with the speed of delivery to the US and the Quiach itself. What was disappointing was the boxes they came in. They were torn and full of holes and even taped up by yourselves. As I bought two quiachs from you as gifts, I expected the boxes to be good to give them in. I now have to go out and find replacement boxes.”

Hi Christine, I am really pleased to hear you are happy with your quaich. I am sorry that the engraving is not quite as large as you would have hoped. We do normally leave the size and placement up to the engraver but we are happy to follow any instructions you have if you just add them to the additional instructions box on the order. “The Quaich and the engraving, a present for my grandson's christening, are excellent quality. The speed and courtesy of service was very good too. The only disappointment was that the company were unable to place the engraving in exactly the position I would have preferred but the reasons for this were explained to me and understood before the order was fulfilled. Quite happy”

“I was pleased with the product felt the engraving could have been larger. Disappointed there was no card inside to explain what a quaIch is as have always had one when purchased them in the past from other retailers.”

Hi Mary, Its great to hear that you are happy with your new quaich, we do normally leave the engraving size up to the discretion of the engraver as he can judge the best size to go for depending on the size of the engraving area available and the amount of text requested. It is possible to add a note to the engraver about the size of text if you have a something specific in mind. I am sorry to hear that the quaich did not include a card to explain about what it is, there is normally one that is included in the box. Is it too late to have one sent out in the post for you? ~ Sam

“I was very impressed with the speed of delivery and the quality of the quaich. However, as this is to be a present for a friend, I was a wee bit disappointed that there was no information on the product inside the box. Nothing to say it was pewter, or any information about the history of the Scott name/clan etc. Would it be possible to send something on, via post or e-mail? Apart from that, I am very happy with the quaich. Thank you, Elspeth Alexander.”

“What a wonderful gift for my son and his wife to be,it's beautiful. I probably would have bought more but there were problems with sherching for related item's. It wouldn't allow me ( kept getting a oops )”

“The engraved Celtic knot work looks very nice. The amethyst in the handles is glass, which I knew before buying. I will try to have them replaced locally with real amethyst to better match other uses of amethyst in our wedding. There was a slight hiccup in the DHL delivery, but both the retailer and DHL worked quickly and efficiently to resolve it.”

“The Quaich arrived quickly and well packaged, bizarrely if you hold it by both handles and shake it there is a slight rattle but if you hold the body and shake it, it doesn't happen... The handles are firmly fixed on so there's not a problem. The look and feel of the Quaich is generally very good and I would recommend them if you need a Quaich.”

“Received one Quaich very quickly not received other after two weeks . I was surprised that the Quaichs were not in a proper presentation box when paying over a certain amount of money. Overall the quality is good with the one I received . Hope the other one comes soon as it's for a double Christening.”

We do have a few options for shipping on our website, the Airmail selected does normally take 5 - 7 days, I think just down to the high volumes of post over Christmas there may have been a slight delay. “The Bonnie Prince Charlie 3.5 inch pewter Quaich was a lovely gift for us to give to my great nephew to celebrate his christening. We hope that it will remind him of his Scottish heritage, when he grows up, despite currently residing in East Anglia. The quaich arrived in time as we paid the extra charge for a speedier delivery. The quality of the quaich was good, although I had to give it a long buffing with a cloth as there was still much polish (darkened in the crevices) on it that had not been properly buffed off at the factory. I also scratched my finger on a shard of metal, on the underside of the edging surrounding the glass bottom, that was sticking out when I was first looking it over. Nevertheless I was pleased with the product.”

Hi Gavin, Thanks very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback, I am sorry to hear that the quaich arrived with dark marks on it. It sounds like it could have been the polish used by the pewter-smiths. In the finishing process all the pewter quaichs are given their shine with a really thick heavy polish. If some of the polish is missed, it can dry and create a really dark grey mark, this is usually easily removed with warm soapy water and a scrub with a sponge. I am sorry if this caused you any inconvenience at all, it really is quite rare that this happens as the quaichs are thoroughly checked before dispatch. I am a little worried though that the base of the quaich was sharp, we have not heard of this problem before, if it will help I would be happy to look at having a replacement sent out to you? ~ Sam
