“Regarding the rail and hook system , when speaking with the Byson Agent I described my walk-in cooler project and was concerned about installing the Byson rail on the ceiling that was insulated with 6” of foam sheeting . I asked about using metal plates over the insulation for mounting areas . The Byson agent said that plates are not necessary and that customers mount the rail hardware directly onto the foam . I used aluminum plates for mounting the hardware to and can not imagine anything less . Even with the plates the project was very difficult to secure the rails accurately through 6”’of high density foam insulation . I have not yet hung any weight onto the meat hooks and will hope for the best .
In my opinion the ceiling needs to have a hard surface in order to accurately install the rail system . I can only hope that this expensive rail system all works as planned.”
“A very high quality and well-made access door. The spring loading mechanism to open and close the door is great and nothing else really compares to it quality-wise. We have 2 outside for access to our bbq natural gas shut-off valve (to keep them hidden in a stone wall) and I just purchased more for when we finish our basement and need access to water shut-offs etc.”
