“I have over some years been gradually having my house windows replaced as required by Cairngorm to my entire satisfaction. The most recent, my lounge picture window, alas, No. After installation (about 2-3 years ago) there was evidence of rain leaking in at one bottom corner. Since then I have (because of increased water ingress) had 3 major maintenance visits to deal with the fault. The most recent was 3 men who agreed with my proposed diagnosis, photographed the faulty area and said they would report to Cairngorm. The end. Communication with Cairngorm as usual-nil. I have already submitted photos. Just a wee bit of communication would save the day. (I have 3 more windows to replace!)”

“I had a very large window providing natural light to 2 floors from first contacting Cairgorm to installation I was confident with their attention to the contract despite lengthy delay due to issues arising from pandemic.”

“Problems with door lock. Twice had someone out. Door still squint on hinge but at least working for now. Overpriced poor quality materials.”

“On previous occasions, we have found Cairngorm group to be excellent, on this occasion not so. During fitting ceiling was damaged, and fitting team reported damage, and we were told someone would be in touch to repair. After few weeks door dropped and we had to phone to request door be refitted and ceiling be repaired. Door has been adjusted, but ceiling is still damaged and no sign of repair. Twice reported”

“Once we got through the warrant, the quality of the product and workmanship was excellent. Unfortunately, the time to get drawings, correct mistakes and then get a warrant meant the whole process was almost 2 years from first payment, although the pandemic almost certainly had a hand to play in this. Nevertheless I would recommend this company to anyone.”

“Although staff are helpfull when you go down to order windows/doors etc. There are a couple of things which are not very good. On at least three occasions I have been sent the invoice by email for windows/doors but had not been informed that they were ready to collect even though Cairngorm have my mobile number and e-Mail address. Also the back yard is a bit untidy and not easy to negotiate with a van as there are hazards everywhere. But as I have said staff are helpfull and your windows/doors etc are good.”

“One of the panes of glass was badly marked and a new pane was ordered but this also had a fault inside the double glazed unit. We said that we would accept this, to save you the expense of obtaining yet another unit, if a discount could be allowed. We accepted the discount offered but it was not quite what we expected.”

“The installation was carried out very well by experienced staff , but despite two e mails asking for Cairngorm's " written guarantee for the work done " as shown in their contract with me I never received a reply . I still have no guarantee from the company .”

“The team that carried out the solar panel and light tunnel installation were fantastic but the customer service following on from the initial quote was dreadful. Whereas we acknowledge that some delays were beyond their control, the lack of updates and proactive comms was not good.”

“Very pleased with door but lost 2 stars because we had to have 2 later visits to adjust door. First call as you could see light between door and frame when it was closed . Second visit the door was hitting frame with the locking lugs needing adjustment again seems ok now”

“This came up in my e mails . Thought I would play safe and give an average score ,as I have no idea what I purchased from you . The information I have is “you recently purchased from us , how did we do” I suspect the purchase went better than the review.”

“Product was good but the fitting was a shambles. Workmen arrive to find no scaffolding so only half job done. Waited another week to get things sorted had to push for any kind of discount for the inconvenience.”
