“They had the lens I wanted, at the joint lowest price, but also included £50 of accessories (my choice). Items did come 1 day later than had been expected, but hey, stuff happens. Overall, very pleased, but if I had been relying on getting it next day, I would have been disappointed.”

“Easy order process once registered with option to click and collect from my local store a couple of miles away. Ordered a tripod and paper from their own brand and received 30% plus 3 for 2 on the paper saving over £108 on a £230 order. Email to say when ready for collection and as ever my local staff were friendly and helpful.”

“I purchased some items last week and to be honest the service was a bit below par, I recieved an E Mail feedback form and filled in my experience, honestly expecting to hear nothing further. Imagine my surprise when I was phoned by the new manager Mr Mason. He explained the issue and apologised. This has to be the first time I can remember that negative feedback I have entered anywhere that has had a response. I have to say that I was impressed by their attitude and to be fair I normally have a positive experience at Calumet so I will definitely be returning.”

“On my dealings with calumet it has been first rate. The staff at Birmingham calumet has given me some of the most sound advice, over the past couple years I must have spent £20,000 with you. Setting up my business, and I always like to treat the staff at the Birmingham branch with the utmost respect, because they deserve it! The nice thing about calumet is no matter where you go the staff always friendly and they are always interested.”

“I phoned the Glasgow branch as I needed to order a roll of photographers paper and get it delivered to the SECC. After a couple of quick calls to Craig to figure out the details, I was ready to make the order. I phoned back and spoke to Alex who denied anyone called Craig worked there, and refused to take my card over the phone and also my order because he said a delivery address had to match the credit card (billing) address. This is completely ridiculous and the opposite of what Craig told me. After messing me about for about 5 minutes - he never offered a solution and suggest that I go online to complete the transaction where it can easily be done. How frustrating and what a waste of time. I know that Alex was familiar with my call to Craig because he knew that I was trying to arrange to have a courier collect the item for me Sunday (as I was traveling from Brighton). Not sure what the point of these guys being so unhelpful was all about; I was able to provide the three digit code on the back of my business card!!!”

“One of the tightening screws on the "heavy-duty" lighting stand sheared completely from the body, under very little pressure, on its first outing. The fractured metal appears to be very flimsy, and of uneven thickness around the screw hole, which would account for its failure. I will keep the 4m stand as a 3m stand because I don't have time to mess around returning it.”

“James was not only very knowledgeable about the products across several brands but also took interest in my questions and went out of his way to help me find the best fit for my needs. This help went far beyond my expectations. It was not my first time at Calumet and this only confirms the excellent impression of the customer service at Calumet I already had from past interactions (including with James).”

“I have visited the Hagley Road, Birmingham branch on numerous occasions, and have always felt that I was treated fairly and with consideration. All the major photo outlets in my town have closed so having access to people who know their business and care about their customer is very pleasing, and reassuring. I recently attended their open day and got to sample some goodies, and ended up spending a fair bit of money. I prefer to deal face to face rather than buy online, and the staff were brilliant. Thanks guys, hope to see you again soon!”
