Someone please explain to me if I am overreacting or not... This morning (02/01/2023) just after 09h00,I deposited R8k+ st an ATM in Woodmead Retail Park. The ATM screen read "Transaction Cancelled", and spat out my business card. Went immediately into the branch so that they could assist me. We sat on the line until 11h00 only to be told the matter takes 7-14 days to be investigated and resolved. The thing that comes to mind is, what happens to my bills for the 7-14 days that Capitec thinks is a good enough timeline to resolve a matter such as mine? Is there no batch close on each end of business to see how much was in excess to what Capitec has records for? For a matter that I have nothing to do with, this whole thing is nonsensical! That's Capitec's ATM not mine. You just need to release my money and fix the error on your end. And dare I see one response saying "we have escalated your query and have given feedback..." The matter here is 7-14 days, which is totally unacceptable.

ATM deposits at norwood branch never work so they can charge you more inside the bank. On the one day a week they do work the queue is so long it would take over an hour to make a deposit. Staff couldn’t care less when complaining about their lack of maintenance.

Capitec Buss, block your account, and even when they receive the Fica documents as requested, to get the account operating again takes for ages. Worst decission ever made to make use of them. The Buss section should go and learn from the normal Capitec.

My internet banking was hacked and the smses weren't coming through that money was going out my account. Reported to fraud department, still waiting 8 months later for Capitec to give an update and give me my money back. The tracking number doesn't even exist anymore for me to track it. Disgusting service and over 10 grand gone.

I deposited 20K to a Capitec ATM on Saturday. While counting the cash it went out of order. I've been waiting for the investigation since then. Its festive season and I'm down 20 grand!!! Give me my money and close my account while you're at it.

I would like to say thank you to one of capitec consultant who took extra mile for me when Clicks was giving me tough time to help me with my money she walk with me to Clicks and speak out for me and they solved the problem immediately thumbs 👍up to Dre, because of you girl I will stick with capitec bank, I am not charging to another bank. May God bless you abundantly Dre, Claremont branch province (Capetown )

You guys are by far the worst bank ever to deal with not only that you guys are thiefs take money and then lie to say it's been refunded then require me to prove I have not received it . Definitely not a bank I ever want to deal with again. Still waiting 2 months later

Capitec bank is useless shame. I requested a proof of payment for a payment that doesn’t appear on my statement but I used their app,I told them I need it as soon as possible. I was promised it will be sent to me after 72 hours, after 72 hours still the was nothing. I went to the branch after 7 days the consultant told me she requested it and promised to send it the very same day and she didn’t. Now I have to go back again just for a proof of payment, capitec has poor client service.

Just spoke to one of the consultants named Andiswa. Girl was so rude and not even helpful. I honestly not happy with Capitec bank. Very bad service they offer to clients!!

So now Capitec decide where you spend your money im changing banks you cannot do a paypal payment or pay internationally bery bad service my money i can choose to spend where i want !!!

I am utterly disappointed with Capitec, since last month I have Dropbox deducting money from my Acc and when I called they said they can’t reverse the money. Now I keep losing R430 from this. Even the app doesn’t have the option to report fraud. Capitec system is poor!!

Capitec should sort out the banking app, I bought electricity once only to receive 2 tokens and charged twice. Then after contacting Capitec I was informed that they are not able to reverse it even though it is the Capitec app that caused the problem. Capitec ur banking app is a mess!! I was informed by an agent to contact the municipality, but to make matters even worse now I am able to log into the Capitec app but when trying to view the tokens that the app purchased twice on my behalf it just freezes and I cant get the token numbers to try and sort out the mess the app caused. The only thing Capitec says is "Sorry for the inconvenience" , but you know what other debit orders don't understand that the Capitec app malfunctioned and there is not enough money now. Why am I the one to sort out the mess the app caused???

I am not happy because most ATM'S outside the branch do not have a deposit option and it's hard to deposit if the branch or the shopping malls are closed because we only access the depositing machines at the branch or atm inside a mall. It's a hustle to deposit especially in the evening.

Capitec did not make me happy at all On the 3rd of October I emailed the Forensic dep for Fraud at Capitec to inform them of scam payment made and to reverse the payments. I got an incident nr only to find out a day later that this so called incident nr does not exist. They only gave me another incident nr on the 10th. I have emails to prove this. I opened criminal case at Police as requested. To date I have not received ANY feedback from Capitec and want to know WHY was I given an incident nr that never existed. I have proof of that on email.

I’m so annoyed with this bank. I transferred money to wrong person and I called immediately, and they said they can’t help me because I am the one who transferred the money. After that they keep on the line to contact the person and come back to me to say, oh we can’t reverse the payment because it’s his account. Not continuing with this bank and I suggest people watch out for their money cz this bank has no interest in its clients. Very much annoyed

I reported a fraud incident 30 mintutes after a made the deposit. I was told by the consultant that I can only open a case if the money is still available. Whilst holding on the line , the consultant called the third party bank to advise them of the incident. I was told that the money is available and the account has been frozen. 3 Months later I was advised that the money has been withdrawn within a period of two days. How is this possible if I reported 30minutes after the incident? Absolutely dismal service.I am going to escalate this matter.
