I have been with Card one Money, about 5 years, I have had no problems in that time, all my bills and direct debits, are all paid on time, if there is not enough in my account to pay bills, they always let me know. I can only praise Card One Money, and hope others who have had problems, that they are sorted out.

for a number of years I have been banking with them. No issues whatsoever. There is a premium for the service, but there may be other reasons why you can’t or choose not to use have a high street bank account.

Do not open up a bank account with Card one! You will be wasting your time, by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with in my life and also, they have no concern for GDPR regulations!

Had my account for about 2 months happily payed the fees it's been excellent for me until I received a payment from a friend and they blocked access to my card out of the blue money still in the account I can't have it unless I show proof of payment.like this is just rediculous and very inconvenient I'm just glad I didn't have my wages put in there!!

only reason i have this bank is of bad credit otherwises i wouldn't bank its charges 30 pounds in total a month it terrible

incorporated a company in uk as non resident and got in touch with them to open a business account wherein kiaren advised me that he will put the application through and charge me gbp55, application will go to underwriting team and they will decide, got a call from manager Kathy who advised that I should have an ATOL certificate to open an account, explained her that ATOL can not be obtained as I am non resident, however they have illogical explanation that I have to get an ATOL certificate and they don't know whether the eligibility is to be a resident in UK, why did they take my application at the first place, the staff should know if he is taking the application of a travel company, what all documents should I have to be eligible. Also I again advised them that we would not be booking a package holiday and would only book a flight only or hotel only ( Atol doesn't come into picture in these case) still they need atol, I don't know if they are fool or making us fool. I am going to put a review everywhere as the world should know how they are cheating customer. Their main agenda is to just put the application through and charge gbp55 and later deny the application coz they may come back with any ridiculous reason which they should inform the Customer at the beginning

If I can prevent one person reading this review from signing up for an account, then the time I wasted to write this review has been worth it. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. Cardonemoney is fraudulent and unethical online banking company with unreachable customer service that you have to pay for (you have to pay for their time on the phone with you). this isn't even about the high fees they charge. My experience is about the difficulty I had in accessing my money after having an account with them for 2 years. they are using multiple types of schemes to make it difficult to access your account so they can continue to earn interest in the money that is being held in your account. long waits for customer service, website not working at times, and changing the way to login in to make it more difficult to get into your account. I was having issues with accessing my account because all of a sudden the online login asked for 2 step authentication but I never received any info for setting this up so it sent me in an endless loop of not being able to access the account. When I called customer service to try to get set up properly so i can start accessing my account, I was asked all my personal info including company email, address, name, date of birth, account number and still did not authenticate me to give me access.  Then they literally stopped answering my calls.  I can’t believe this was happening.  When I called the next day to try to get a different rep, the person literally hung up on me, I tried to call several times and no answer.  This is their main customer service number and I could not believe this was how they were addressing me not being able to access my account. At this point I realized that I may be in a fraudulent situation so I sent them a threatening message letting them know that I would be pursuing legal action. It was only after I threatened to sue and blast their behavior on the internet someone finally gave me my account access so I could get my money out as fast as I could and never have to deal with them again. They use to be cardonebanking and changed to caronemoney. think about it. they have no banking rules and protection being offered to the customer so they didn't want to be liable and changed the "banking" part of their name to "money". The bottom of the site mentions this: The CardOneMoney current account is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

Let's not forget why we use this Bank, usually because we can't get one of the "big four" high street banks due to bad credit etc They are up front with the charges so nobody's deceiving anyone! I've banked with them for over 4 years and initially intended to move to another bank when I built better credit, but I find their customer service very good and whilst we as a company handle very little cash or cheques their charges aren't that steep. o.k £7.50 is quite high for instant transfers, but if you've ever had a bank account with a high street bank and looked at your business banking charges at the end of the year there's not much in it so we have stayed with them. One negative was they weren't on the approved list for the Governments Covid-19 Bounce Bank Loan. This was a real shame. Otherwise no complaints at all!

I’ve been with this bank for a few months I’ve had no problems only thing is when money is credited to your account it doesn’t become available straight away other than that everything is good also everyone complaining about the call charges use the free complaints line it is the same line as the customer service ‭0345 872 8661‬

Awful spend more time on the phone trying to find out why transfers have been frozen. It's just con spend fortune phoning them. Hidden charges. Really needs to investigated.

It's hard to know where to start Card one Banking are a money racketter business. The worse I have ever seen, you have to pay £7.50 to transfer your own money to another bank account if you have one. Disgraceful people should now be compensated for their negligence.

Tried to use cash machine yesterday spat my card out saying my provider has stopped the card then ingest a message saying they are separating from this card customer...now inhale no access to my money, my money foes straight onto my card ..not happy tried calling them phones been engaged for 2 days

26th of june money in on my card but cannot access it. tried telephoning them as appears to be a problem at their end no success. tried to pay for food and my card was declined check my balance should have been enough topay the bill, CANNOT CONTACT THEM SEEMS A MAJOR PROBLEM BUT BANK NOT ADVISING ANYONE- RUBBISH SERVICES

Haven’t been able to access my account for a week while on lockdown. A 10 minute phone call cost me £20. Please just avoid. Anyone with a good review must be a member of staff. Diabolical

It does exactly what it says on the tin. People complain about the 12.50 charge but it’s there for a reason for example missed direct debit payments, most banks would charge you but card one money doesn’t. I have been with this bank for 4 months now and I have never experienced a problem. They are working night and day to perfect security and secure access to your account. For example now when you login as well as asking security questions it sends a code to your designated mobile number. This bank is brilliant and I cannot complain

Cost a fortune to send money to other accounts. Charged a monthly fee even though they do NOTHING FOR you. THE MONTHLY FEE IS ON TOP OF THE FEES YOUR CHARGED EVERY TINE YOU LOAD YOUR OWN MONEY AND EVERY TIME YOU CHECK A BALANCE. THEN THE PHN BILL IS ANOTHER BILL TO PAY ON TOP AND EACH TEXTRO THE BANK IS CHARGED BUT NOT COVERED BY THE BANK. SO IT COST ME MORE MONEY TO GET ACCESS TO MY OWN MONEY THAN EVER IMAGINABLE. ITS A JOKE!!!!! They never ever send your wages or money to your account like normal banks do. I end up phoning them every month because i cant get to work because they have completed the transition to load in into my account. Then once its in my account i then have to pay 11p - 15p text message to and also 15p bank fee to load my own money then I have to wait up to an hour before i can access my own money. Then all these bank feesfor checking my balance loading my own money all mounts up each month. Then on top i have a heafty phone bill each month for checking my balance and so on. Most times money disappeares out of my account. Actually for several years on a weekly basis this happened. Some times after complaining the money would magically re appear. But 9/10 wouldnt. My bank has also been hacked several times and had large volumes of money taken from my account. Then had to get new ARM cards which i had the wait 2 weeks for. Staff are useless and rude, wont do anything to help. My money goes in on the same day every week but most times i cant even see it in my account until the end of the day, meaning i have no money to get to work. I once had the wait 6 hours in the snow at a tram stop after a 11.5 hour shift, until my money was actually loaded. The card machine goes down and money disappeares taking nearly 10 days to get it back. I haveseveral years of evidence to everything i say. I have 6 years of printed text messages and account balances where there is questionable behaviour. I STRONGLY WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMED THIS EXCUSE OF A BANK.
