“I bought a beautiful Lexus about a year ago that was 100% Carfax clean. I put the car up for sale just recently and the new carfax showed structural damage and had been in an accident a year ago. Carfax took over a year to enter this information. Now I am stuck with a beautiful car that is showing structural damage. I took the car to a very good body shop that took it apart and said there was no damage. I always relied on Carfax in the past but never again.”

“Was difficult to figure out how to even access my car fax, and then it could not find my car despite their being a previous car fax on it.”

“Spent the money for unlimited car history checks, which I thought was self explanatory. Apparently it means only being able to run the Vin number 5 times, the rest of however many it actually would have given me needed a license plate numer which is very handy when your shopping online at dealerships where the cars have no license plates.”

“I was trying to by a used corvett from a dealer and was not sure of the price.i was unable to find out what it was worth.so i called car fax and sent in the ID number,this was not the car for me,i found a better corvett and two years newer for a lower price.and with the car fax i was able to find out all about the car. i will use car fax when ever i by a car.thank to you i got a better and a newer car.allso i did not by my car from a chevrolet dealer.”

“Vehicle had extensive damage from previous owner hitting curb. Dealership did a half assed job repairing it. Carfax is a joke and a waste of money for consumers.”

“I bought my car back in January of 2012 the carfax showed my car was clean and no accidents were reported. 2 1/2 years later I want to sell my car but oh my the carfax no shows an accident on it 1 month before I bought my car (12/12/2011). The report even says the accident was reported on (07/04/2013) which means even if I bought my car 1 1/2 years later after this accident I would have gotten a good Carfax for a crashed car. Nice job now I cannot sell my vehicle because it has lost so much value, good job Carfax.”

“i used car fax prior to trading it in to get the most for it. the dealer used another service called accuchek that showed an accident that was not on car fax - this is the second time that car fax has let me down with info around a car deal - the last one did not show a buy back on a vehicle i purchased”

“I read for $58.62 I was to get unlimited carfaxes. I did not. I only got five than was shut off. That is a sad way to do business.”

“They take your money even when you didn't even use carfax one time...it is not fair and poor business... I will never use them again.. Autocheck.com is a better place to get history on your car”

“I paid unlimited access and bought a car that carfax said was not wrecked. And it had been wrecked. I went to another site and paid $6.95 to get report and it showed wreck. Paid over $50 with carfax and it didn't show wreck. I am not happy.”

“Found the truck I was looking for on CarFax. On the day it was supposed to be shipped to Fairfield, Ca. someone stole the tail gate from the truck. They were to replace it and send it the following week. The person who was handling the my purchase went on vacation or something and did not hear from her for two weeks. When she came back I Emailed her and she told me it was sold to someone else. Before she left she Emailed me and sent me verification it was mine. Turned out not so. I will never recommend your company to any of my friends going forward. Very poor follow through and a loss sale and a disgruntled customer.”
