“It was a Toyota T100 96' nice body shape with 123,000 miles on the odometer everything look good until I run the CARFAX warning me that the truck had a major rollback odometer of about 130,xxx miles with a last read of 257,000. So thankful for the CARFAX M.Sosa”

“I was going to buy a 2011 dodge charger that looked awesome with very low miles (17k) for an almost unbelievable price (14k) was told car had a clean carfax but I purchased a report on car just to be certain and found out car have a slavage and rebuilt title along with 2 recalls from dodge. So thank you so much carfax for saving my time as well as my money!”

“I was getting a great deal on a new car. The deal seemed too good to be true so I looked up info on carfax to reassure myself that nothing was wrong with the car. I felt comfortable buying my new car once I saw the carfax report and very happy with my purchase.”

“I was able to sell my 2003 Suburban for $1,500 more than what I would have gotten for a trade in. Because I had a Carfax report, it gave my buyer who was 965 miles away, the confidence to purchase my vehicle knowing it had been taken care of. Now, he has a good dependable vehicle that he is happy with and we had the additional money to buy another vehicle for us. And by the way, the Carfax report on the 2013 Yukon that we bought was the deciding factor between two different vehicles we were considering. Thanks Carfax, you made this process easier giving us the peace of mind when buying and selling our vehicles.”

“I looked at four different 2002 Toyota tundras, the first three had the miles turned back. Two of the cars were from dealers , who did not seem surprised when I pointed it out. The third one was from a private seller, who was heartbroken, as he bought the car thinking the miles were genuine. He called me later asking how to create a carfax account. I told him I would not buy a car without using it.”

“Never used Carfax before this endevour to buy a used car / suv. Found it quite helpfull as long as the car was maintained at a dealership somewhere. Not much use if it was not since apparently not many independent mechanics input to car fax. I used my truck as a test bed , bought the 5 pack offered for $59.00, and used it for checking mine and 4 others before I bought one at a dealership. The info on recalls pending and done was worth the cost alone and influenced us away from the first car we searched for along time to find due to the recalls that were doen and pending. A good service but perhaps a little misleading in your advertising on the TV. Joe Sampietro”

“My grandson who is 19 wanted to purchase a used vehicle from a private party. We went to see the car and gave the seller a $50 down payment. We then came home and ran a Carfax report. It turned out that the vin number on the title and the vin number on the vehicle were one letter off. We reported the problem to the seller. It took him several trips to the Division of Motor Vehicles, but he finally got the appropriate vin number on the title. If we had not used Carfax, we would have given the seller the money for the car, and we would not have been able to register it. I believe that using Carfax was one easy step that saved us a lot of problems.”

“hI was about to buy a 2003 BMW 325 with a five speed from my retired friend who had trouble shifting. He had the car for over a year He said it only had two owners. He said the previous owner worked for BMW. The car was MINT! so much so I couldnt believe it ....I ran the Carfax.....6 owners major front end damage...never owned by a person who worked for BMW. THANKS CARFAX tom”

“I was going to buy the 2005 camry and checked carfax and found that carfax report turned out very well even compared to carproof. And I also checked carfax reports for a couple of my friends and found there are some cares with rebuilt status, that reduced huge potential for us, thank you CARFAX!”

“hi was looking to buy an older Lincoln continental thought I found a good deal till I ran carfax and turned out to be a car in several accidents the seller never told me carfax steered me clear of that one but I did find a deal and the carfax came back clean 1 owner as the seller said thank so much carfax have my pleasure car and not somebodys headache!!!!!”

“Was about to buy a 2004 f150 for a work truck, black 4 door, really nice condition. The only thing was that the information Center where the odometer and other info is shared wad broken. Guy said it was a one car owner and he didn't even hit 80,000 miles when it went out. So I snapped a picture of the Vin and put it into carfax. Turns out it's last registered mileage was 185,000 and that was months ago, also had almost 10 owners which tells me this truck must have lots of issues. Needless to say I didn't call that guy back, thanks carfax!”

“I was NOT buying a car I was SELLING my car 11 year old Acura. So to help the buyer(s) I put together a folder with copies of all my maintenance records receipts for replacement tires. I also searched for sale ads of the exact same car in my geographical area. The final help I had for my buyer was to pay for the CarFax report and include that in the folder. I also had the Emission test completed and eventually paid for the Safety Certificate as part of the deal. I think paying for the CarFax report helped my buyer, saved my buyer time AND the cost ($44 in Canada) of ordering the report himself. Thanks CarFax. I would encourage Sellers to obtain these reports, your buyers will appreciate this. M.L.R.”
