“CarFax helped me discover that the suposedly clean vehicle I was looking at had previously been re-titled as a Lemon in California and was not worth the current asking price. It saved me from losing a lot of money!”

“When my husband laid eyes on that Red, shiny little truck, I saw a kid in his smile. We looked at the 2004 B3000 Mazda truck on a lot that also sold used farm tractors and implements. The Mazda had 100,000+ miles, so I was finished at that point - NO deal!! But he had to drive it; and then listed to the dealers spiel about how the previous owner always took care of his vehicles, adding that he also went the extra mile in keeping the Mazda "spiffy" and adding new accessories. My husband was hooked!! I insisted on him giving it a day or so, hoping that he would also be dissuaded by the high mileage. As soon as we returned home (since all I was listening to all the way there from him was how great it would be to have a 'little' truck again) I went on-line and pulled the Maxda up on CarFax. No accidents, 3 owners, no total loss, no structural damage, etc., etc. So the next day we went back and are now the proud owners of a cute, little red, shiny (and he keeps it waxed) 2004 Mazda Club Cab pickup. Thank you CarFax for allowing me to calm my fears, while also keeping that 'boyish' grin on my husband's face!!”

“I was looking to purchase a pickup. Found a 2013 pickup with only 11600 miles i couldn't believe it so i had a Car Fax done and was pleased with the findings i purchased the pickup on what the report had given me back.”

“I recently bought a 2012 Mazda 5, and thanks to the 1 previous owner search on Carfax I found one that had less miles (19k) than most of the others I had been finding. So, long story short, I got a car with less miles from a small independant dealership that was willing to deal. Save me a good 2-3K on basically the same car with less miles! Whichever car search tool you choose to use, make sure you view the Carfax before you sign the dotted line!”

“Hi I have purchased car fax review recently from my experience i have observed that the report you are providing is not updated .I am not sure i might be wrong but i have felt that the report is like 2-3 months old ones. So if its true i hope that you will provide updated report may be not longer that 15 days so that it will be easy to buy a good second hand cars. thank you.”

“After searching for months, we found the PERFECT car!! We had looked at many models, but settled on the Volkswagen CC. We test drove many cars, and the dealership ran a carfax for us at most dealerships. When we didn't find one at the dealership we wanted, we bought unlimited carfax and started shopping for sale by owner too. We found a 2012 Volkswagen CC, with only 28,000 miles. The Carfax was clean as a whistle, beautiful car...not even a ding. A soldier was about to be transferred and didn't want to pay to have his third car shipped. He decided to sell it locally, so we met him at Best Buy to test drive it. It was just like a new car, even come with an extended warranty till 2017. If it weren't for Carfax, we wouldn't have found this wonderful car. Thank you, Carfax”

“Carfax is a good tool when purchasing a new or used vehicle for the most part the information provided is accurate up until the last buyers purchase it . I do not like that you only get five Vin number checks if you purchase the unlimited went in the past unlimited was unlimited for a longer period of time. Wether by Vin number or tag. I searched for a new vehicle with little luck Carfax did help to identify those vehicles with the rollback mileage which is very common nowadays. And I purchased 2 owner Nissan Armada with accurate mileage and good service history for a great price for the new family . Baby Lucas says ,thanks Carfax !”

“I recently used Carfax again, this time for a Mercedes C320 4matic wagon. I quickly found out the car had no accidents and no surprises with odometer. I also found out that this car would be a bargain at the price I was looking at. Carfax had helped by a previous Mercedes wagon and again, no surprises there either. You can run multiple cars to help you narrow down the right choice. I will use Carfax on every and any car I'm considering buying.”

“It was good experience to select a good car. I had checked the price, test drive and every thing for a Honda car, only car history report was remaining. I purchased it and found front side collision with another car. I don't recommend to any one to buy a used car without checking carfax report.”

“CarFox had saved me from almost buying a car which has a structural damage reported on it, I would have ended up buying a car which has accident reported on it if I did not check CarFox. This is an amazing app and it helps a lot in buying a proper car especially when you are shopping for used cars, I would recommend everyone who is planning to buy pre-owned car to buy CarFox and check the VIN's. Even if you plan to buy a pre-owned from a dealer I would highly recommend to have your own CarFox to check the history instead of relying on the reports provided by dealer as they can be manipulated.”

“The CARFAX report is actually helped my car to sold quickly. It was handy reference for the buyer as all history of the car's maintenance as well as incidents were cross referenced in there. Appreciate CARFAX Management team for having such a good history report of all cars. Friends of mine from different Countries do impress with this facility and they said to me this is good opportunity of knowing about the car that you are buying and it's available only in USA”

“I was looking for a particular Jeep and found it. Problem was it was 350 miles away. After numerous calls and making reservations for a rental car at the last minute I decided I had better not chance it and ran a Car Fax on it. Turns out it was a salvage title. The man insisted it was rebuilt and good as new. Had I not done a Car Fax I would have made the trip for nothing!!!”

“For older vehicles i think Car Fax could use some work but its a tough job to try and dig up history on a vehicle that's older than 10 years. In one instance i found some incorrect information but on the whole i felt much better knowing all the information that i had walking into the used car transaction. Car Fax ultimately helped me negotiate down my final price and gave me confidence knowing that i had a detailed history on the car i was buying.”

“Oh CARFAX, you are a life saver, I had a limited amount of money to spend on a new car for myself, due to my current car having the frame about come into. My son said mom you need to be careful, use CARFAX, I started not to due to the cost, but I am so thankful I listened to him. One vehicle I looked at that the owner tells me his sister bought the car new, I ran your car fax and it had been in several wrecks and had been owned by at least 5 different people. When people want to sell something they will tell you anything. Thank you for saving me from buying a disaster. You have a wonderful service.”

“I used it to purchase a 2001 camaro ss, I found out my car was original a corporate (rental) car in the beginning. I then used the vehicle history report to corroborate with what the seller was telling me so I could make sure everything was lining up. I then felt comfortable enough to make an offer and purchase the vehicle, thanks again carfax!”
