CAR FAX, is the biggest tool to buy a car ! From a private party I was looking for a Chevy Tahoe (2 door) and take me almost 2 1/2 months to get the right one most Tahoe's, people fix the odometer, that's why is worth to buy a CAR FAX and check the history of the car believe me you going to save a lot of money and help to buy the right vehicle. Thank's again Car fax

I have been looking for a Suburban or a Yukon XL. I almost bought one in Fredericksburg. I looked at the CARFAX and it revealed that the mileage was not accurate! Thank goodness for CARFAX. It kept me from making a big purchase mistake! Yea CARFAX!!!

We used the information received on Carfax to make a decision on a BMW that my cousin wanted to buy. The information was accurate and we were pleased with the vehicle information so my cousin bought it.

I knew exactly which car I wanted to buy. Unfortunately, since the company stopped manufacturing them in 2012, I knew that this probably would be my last opportunity to get one of the later models. I saw the car I wanted at a dealer; I contacted Carfax, and I received a report that shed questionable light on my prospective purchase: long-story-short, it had had 2 owners, and one of them had been involved in an accident. I was able to get more info on the car, and it came with a limited (60 days) warrantee. I did homework taking it to a service station, getting some advice, and then to a dealer to have it examined. I then took it back to my seller whose service department did a few hours' work on it. This, followed by my installing best quality new tires on it has bumped it up to Best and Brightest in the land!! My "new baby..."

I bought an unlimited license as part of my effort to buy a car from a used car lot this summer- the effort took a while and after 5 cars CarFax told me I couldn't use the service anymore from VIN numbers, just using license plate numbers - well, that's worthless because there are no license plates at used car lots - maybe this limit was in the fine print, all I know I am a repeat customer of CarFax and feel screwed over - I contacted them and got the runaround and they finally days later gave me a few more VIN number attempts AFTER I had bought a car - so worthless customer service after providing a worthless service - I WILL NEVER use them again

I found a Volvo SUV for sale which I drove and found it beautiful. When I printed a carfax report, I found the vehichle had a salvage title. The car was totaled in an accident. I found a 2005 Mercedes Benz E500 wagon on Craigslist that said it was a one owner vehicle. I printed a carfax report, which proved the listing correct. The vehicle was serviced by a Mercedes dealer for the life of the car, and every service since 2005 was shown on the carfax. I purchased the vehicle and have never been happier for more confident in the purchase of a used car.

Carfax helped me while searching for a used car. As I would go and look at the car I was interested in, I'd pull up the CarFax. A couple of the cars were not as advertised, thanks to the info on carfax. I left as soon as I saw the info. The last car we found was the diamond in the rough. The CarFax history was clean. I was able to pull it up before I went and looked at it. This saved me quite a bit of travel time as the car was an hour and a half away. The CarFax was true to the car. Nothing was wrong with it. And I negotiated a really great price. Thanks again CarFax.

"Find a little old lady car with low miles", well I did! But I was weary that this was too good to be true. There it was on Craigslist. A 2013 Honda Civic with 8400 miles! Two years old and looking like a cream puff. Well it sure did drive nice and the son of the 84 year old said that his mother was selling the car because it was tough to get in and out of. The price was a few thousand less than at the dealers. Was this car in an accident? Could I trust them when they said it was fine? Then I remembered to Car Fax it! The report came out clean! Now I was confident to make my offer, and now when I'm driving my Civic all I can say is thank God for Car Fax!!

I was looking for a used car on a tight budget. I found a great car in my price range but I was kind of skeptical about buying from a total stranger. I got all the information and CARFAX the vehicle and everything was very accurate. It was a great car and still drive it until this day. Thank you Carfax

We signed up for unlimited 30-days of CarFax when looking to purchase a motor-home. Carafe was very instrumental in helping us make a decision. One had not had any records for 9 years and the mileage was substantially higher than the last service report. Owner had no explanation where the MH had been the last 9 years. We bought a MH that had pages of service and registration records from the time it was new to within a few hundred miles of the current odometer. We relied on the Carfax reports to help us make a decision.

I used CARFAX report when I was searching to buy a used car. It was helpful for me because I was about to buy a car of a friend of mine. She had said the car has involved no accident. However, when I checked the CARFAX report the car had an accident as well as an odometer issue. So, I did not buy this car. I purchased another one which has clear CARFAX report. However, I realized that some information may not be included in the CARFAX report. For example, I am the third owner of my car but the CARFAX says I am the second one. It is better if you could check your algorithm to clarify the number of owner. In addition, CARFAX price adjustment means nothing to me because there were no clear pattern about this adjustment. You may add a legend about this adjustment. For example, what are the criteria when a car is worth more or less?

I bought a 2010 Nissan Altima. The Carfax report showed the detail story about this vehicle and I got a good price on it due to minor damage accident and few service records. Also, I helped few friends to check the reports which avoid them to buy trouble cars. We got a great experience with Carfax. Thanks!

I was looking for a family car, SUV or something similar, I am tired of lemons or fake reviews, with today's internet marketing, you have many choices that is hard to believe on everything they try to sell you. Honestly I feel I can only trust Carfax, you can follow most of the car's history you are interested and that's a big plus for me. We end up buying a Hyundai Veracruz, with an excellent maintenance record and the car truly show that, I feel safe, I feel I did the right choice for my family. Francisco P.

The car report on the car helped me tremendously .I was about to purchase a car off the internet and I had asked the seller if the car have been in any accidents,he told me he wasn't sure and wasn't in the office to see notes on the car .I was the higher bidder, then after ordering the car fax within hours from the Auction found out the car was in a major accident.I emailed the seller told him I was no longer interested in purchase of the vehicle, told him he should have included that into the description of car and that he was being deceiving. Thanks car fax for your help.

I was looking at expedition on Craig list. Got the car fax and it looked fine. but then when I talked to the person they told me it was a old police suv. That fact was not on the carfax and should have been. I did not buy the suv.
