Incorrectly billed an extra day. When I arrived, the rental counter was closed. They told me to wait int he parking lot all night until they opened. Even though I could not receive the car, the jerked me around forever, refusing to simply reverse the charge.
BE FOREWARNED: THESE PEOPLE AR ELIAR, CHEATS, AND SCAMMERS!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE!”
“I rented a car from Budget for 3 days through Carrentals in January this year. Over two months later, without any forwarning, reason or authorisation, Budget took money from my credit card. My emailed requests to Budget for an explanation have gone unanswered. I have since sought a resolution from Carrentals as it is from them that I booked the car. They have offered no support and have effectively distanced themselves from the rental company that they actively promote. Carrentals will happily take your money but if anything goes wrong do not expect any surport from them whatsoever.”
“I reserved a "Pay at the Counter" car and noticed I was charged at the day of the reservation. Carrentals said they don't know what the charge is about, refused to refund me, and told me to talk to the car supplier.
When I arrived to pick up the car, the supplier said they don't see the previous charge either and demanded I pay again for the car. I did, under the assumption it'll get sorted out later. Then the supplier provided me with a very low-end manual transmission car, while I ordered a high-end automatic car. I contacted Carrentals to resolve the issue but they did nothing and I ended up having to use that car during my whole vacation, which was a nightmare.
Before even picking up the car, I sensed something was wrong and asked Carrentals to double-check everything's ok with the reservation and that I will be receiving the exact car I ordered, and they confirmed I will. Apparently they didn't.
After my vacation, I contacted Carrentals numerous times and haven't been able to get a refund for my double charge nor for the fact I received an inferior, barely-driveable manual car. They simply don't care.”
“Avoid, avoid!! Terrible service from the Enterprise office at Bilbao airport. When returning a hire car, the girl inspected the car and decided that there was a chip on the windscreen, which was invisible to us. On much, much closer inspection it looks like there may be a tiny mark smaller than a mosquito. She started scratching it with her metal pen and made it 5 times bigger. Then proceeded to charge us for a brand new windscreen. We took pictures of the mark. A few weeks later when we receive the bill and new pictures of the damage from the repairs garage, they show a completely smashed windscreen!!! And the invoice states broken windscreen. On further investigation it turns out that the repair garage is also located at the airport and belongs to the same company that runs the Enterprise and Atesa franchises in Bilbao airport. Enterprise head office should be investigating how these people at Bilbao airport are representing the Enterprise brand and company name. The service that we received was awful, and their behaviour was more suited to well-trained mafia than to a reputable multinational company. Enterprise should be embarrassed of how this office is trading under their name. We will never use enterprise ever again and we will make sure that we share our experience...”
