“This year because of the chancellor increasing tax on policies then it was obvious that all insurance companies would pass this on to their clients, quite rightly but then to use this as an excuse not to negotiate with the clients over the premium when it has gone up above the price of the cost of living is not acceptable. Also there does not appear to be a standard basis for insuring ones property as it is impossible to compare one quote against another, at the same time it is a waste of time and expense the clients searching round for a quote ?.”
“Managed to get a reduced premium on annual premium renewal quote. Only one claim put in last year for the loss of my small hearing aid. Was able to purchase a better quality replacement within a few days of receiving my claim settlement. Very pleased with response and have renewed my household insurance for a further year.”
“I have been a customer for quite a while, the last two calls to renew have been a pain, I have silly quotes for contents. I rang to renew to explain this and the man went to see his manager and said he would be a couple of minutes, 15 minutes later, had not returned I got fed up and ended the call. next day tried again different person, tried to explain but same thing got to see manager, came back to say she had to ring head office so took my number and said she would ring back witch she did and was told yes quote wrong anyhow I did renew but if it happens next time I will think about finding another company. I have to say that up to these last two years I have had no problems.”
