“The only problem I had was providing proof of No-claim Bonus from my previous insurer. Castle Cover hadn't quite adjusted to the paperless way of handling this. They were helpful when I explained the situation by telephone but I still had to physically authorise my previous insurer to reveal my personal information to Castle, ie. renewal details including NCB. This seems quite crazy as Motor Insurance companies are legally permitted to share drivers' personal information with each other anyway!
By the way, I was a returnee to Castle Cover. They provided my motor cover some years ago. My insurer for 2013/14 was asking for a massive hike in renewal premium at a time when motor premiums were starting to reduce significantly in cost. I hope that Castle Cover will be equally competitive at next renewal as I would be very happy to stay with them.”
