It's time to file a class action lawsuit against them? They mentioned I had outstanding bills (which were entirely unexpected and unbeknownst to me, I had actually already left the country). Tried to pay via credit card or transfer. Not possible. They suggested "asks a friend to pay in person". I said I don't have any contact in Malaysia to do this. I followed up asking to pay - I WANT TO PAY. Fast forward a year, I get an unexpected email mentioned I have been listed in an international credit score warning. What the actual **** !!! This is absolutely horrendous. Stay away, if you are an expat. I will explore legal actions. If there are any lawyers here, what's the the possibility of a class action lawsuits?

I have been on Celcom Prepaid Blue plan/package since 2009. My plan doesn't come with a mobile data plan so any internet usage incur very expensive pay-per-use charge of RM0.50/kb. In view of this, I ALWAYS have my mobile data, location service, and background data for apps turned off (I even used a very effective Firewall on my phone to prevent any connection from getting in or out on my mobile phone) to avoid connecting to the internet and getting charge unncessarily. But then, due to my failing eyesight (in my 60s), I hardly ever use my mobile for online activities. While at home my mobile phone connects to wifi only, but 99% of the time, I use my laptop for online activies, even for Whatsapp/Telegram messaging. When it's absolutely necessary for me to use internet when not at home, I always subscribe to an addon via Celcom Life app or via USSD code (*118), say for basic, or high speed internet. Over the past few years, however, Celcom has been deducting RM0.50 a few times each month from my prepaid balance by sending SMS notifications, often end or beginning of the month, and especially in the wee hours (after midnight when I'm asleep) that I'm entering pay-per-usage. I have on many occasions reported this to Celcom, but they always give all kinds of excuses and try to force me to upgrade to a plan with mobile data - which I don't need. There was once - in 2018 I think, that after many calls and following up with as many emails to them, they finally relented and refunded me about RM10.00 that they had wrongfully deducted that year for mobile data that I never used. After that, however, they refused to entertain or refund me whenever the same thing happened - even just yesterday. Though I may be a senior citizen, I am very well versed in IT, computers, internet, Operting Systems (including Linux), software, etc. and so I don't fall for the lame excuses Celcom Customer Service & technicians try to give - that the phone somehow automatically connects out even when all necessary precautions have been taken - to hoodwink customers into parting with their money. What Celcom is doing is clearly illegal, so please be aware of these unscrupulous and fradulent practices Celcom employs to make money off innocent victims.

I want to downgrade my Celcom plan. But the staff asked me to divert to Digi first, then after 2 weeks shift to the new Celcom plan. within 2 weeks of usage, i had been charged total rm31 (i received sms said my bill is rm53.34 which received after 2 weeks of activation, then i came to the centre and asked why since i had paid advance rm40 before. the staff solved for me and at the end i need to pay Rm15. Another rm16 is bill during my port out), plus need to come to celcom centre twice, change the simcard twice. This is totally absurd. moreover, the payment if u do online cannot enter cent value, if ur bill is rm15.05, need to pay rm16.

You know, Celcom is VERY frustrating. Their network coverage is spotty at best, and don't even get me started on their customer service – it's like talking to a brick wall. And the data speed? Might as well be using a carrier pigeon to send my messages. It's mind-boggling how a company can operate with such incompetence. Avoid Celcom like the plague if you value your sanity and actually want to use your phone without constant headaches. Its actually really good a years ago

Celcom is the worst Telco company in Southeast Asia...there's chronic corporate culture of treating their long-time loyal customers like garbage and their management team is somehow out of touch with reality regarding the actual quality of their company's offered services in the market.

Celcom, Please take care of your clients (us) seriously, I'm officially telling your service need to be improve and look into it. Your customer service often hang out the call (if they couldn't solve the issue or answering client's question. My situation was on the 17 August2023, phone number was barred due to late payment. Then at first i called customer service on (0196011111) she told me to sent my payment received which i had paid don the afternoon, and kindly sent it to the Celcom whatsapp support (0196861111) i told what she did and sent all the related documents. Then an hour later, celcom's support on whatsapp told me this issue due to company account must to contact (1111) because they can't access much info. Then at the end around 10:55PM i call to this (1111) celcom support, they told me issue can't be solve must to wait for 3 days to unbarred the line. And told me couldn't do anything at all, guess what at the end suddenly straight end my call after (28 mins) of calling. God bless your service, since we are supporting using your network for more than 5 years. and this is all the solution you are always providing to us.

seldom need to go through customer service of celcom because the system was quite good in terms of automatic billing checking. recently due to billing issue, i logged a report with celcom, without checking, the operator was saying that the issue was caused by me according to his experience. he then reluctantly say he would create a report and ask me to check back after 3 days. 2 days later , i got a miss call from celcom, when i pick up, it just hang up. i take initiative to call back, again when it almost reach the operator, it hang up again. i check the app, they straight away close my case without giving me any update. celcom really need to improve their customer service, especially their agent quality.
