“Great Bat it feels good in your hands. I got the biggest and tallest version you can get the AJ99M. The thing is surprisingly heavy if you haven't held a baseball bat in a while. My only critique of the bat would be the customization aspect of it. When I placed my custom order according to the picture that was displayed everything lined up. I placed my order and received my bat faster than advertised. This thing was a beauty with a nice shine, felt good in your hands, and had my name on it. After admiring this new bat and started to look it over. I noticed that it had a big ink mark on it. From what I could find online that marking was a way for umpires to check the grain of a dark color bat. Which is fine but was not advertised. From what I could find on their website this mark is only displayed on a bat under their hitting guidelines section. This ink mark though an eyesore to my nice black bat is not a deal breaker. But it is uneven with the rest of the engravings and the Chandler logo. I think the option to have an ink mark stamp would be a future option to add to the customization options for customers. Or if the stamp is to be continued to be implemented then the bat should have it on it during the customization phase. So that the customer is not surprised by a big old ink stamp when they received their bat. But that is just cosmetic as far as function, this thing is awesome. Hearing the ball leaving the bat makes you feel like a big leaguer even though it was just a pop fly. Definitely would buy another bat from them and would recommend them to anyone looking into getting a custom bat for themselves or a family member.”

Hi James! Thanks for the thorough review! We appreciate it. Yes you ordered a 34.5" drop -1 weighing in at 33.5 ounces. That is certainly going to feel heavy and end loaded. Most of the bats we produce are commonly requested to be -3 or -2 at the most, just fyi. As for the ink dot, that's how you know you've received a professional maple bat. It is not optional as every one of our bats are made to professional standards. I'd invite you to read more about at the link below in the Slope of Grain & The Ink Dot section so that you can be proud of what you are perceiving currently as an eye sore.
