About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“I have always wanted a piece of Chilton's furniture. I have been seeing their advertisements and getting the catalog for many years now. I had a trip to Maine planned this summer and I stopped at two of the locations looking for a few purchases. I ended up leaving with two of the Mysa nightstands and the small FollowMe portable lamp.”

“I am thrilled with the quality of workmanship and beauty of the cherry wood. I ordered the Shaker Oval dining table and 2 spindle arm chairs to coordinate with 4 antique Windsor side chairs I already own. I was unable to visit the showroom and relied on pictures to make my order. I am blown away by how much better the furniture looks than in the pictures. Exquisite!”

“We just picked up our second Shaker dresser last week with one more piece coming soon. The quality of the cherry combined with the craftsmanship of the builder resulted in two beautiful additions to our home. “We've purchased several pieces from Chilton and have found them to be of top quality. The customer service is top notch, and the delivery people are also very good -- bringing in and assembling our Queen bed quickly and competently and answering questions. “The furniture was delivered into the room within the quilted moving blankets and was in perfect condition. The delivery team was courteous and prompt - even called us to alert us they would be 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. We have a difficult and narrow driveway and that was no problem for the delivery team. We are very happy with the purchase and would do it again.”

“Ordered a mug. The listing on the website is not obvious. There are different types of mugs in the images, I wanted the one in the third image and mentioned that in the note, but got the first one which I didn't like at all. You guys should make it more clear as to what we're buying. Would love to exchange it if possible.”
