About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“A number of years ago, we bought a small chest with a drawer from Chilton Furniture. It was exactly what we wanted and we were delighted to have found it at Chilton. Recently, the drawer was not sliding easily and was difficult to close. I brought it to Chilton Furniture. The gentleman there accepted it and assured me that he could take care of it. One day later, we received a call from Eleanor who let me know that the drawer had been fully repaired and our cabinet was ready to be picked up. It now again works perfectly. We are very grateful to Chilton Furniture. My parting comment was that I was very glad we had bought our cabinet there and greatly appreciate the fine service that we received.”

“Chilton creates some of the finest built furniture in the US. They use Maine based craftsman to design, build and finish furniture that will last for a lifetime. I’ve ordered three different arrangements of furniture from Chilton. Each set was impeccably crafted, shipped and delivered. I bought a few live edge pieces that are unique and a conversation starter. I get rave reviews from my friends and associates on how beautiful, stylish, well-crafted, durable and finished my furniture is. Chilton has an excellent price point for the market they serve. They hold sales twice a year. Your furniture will likely be built exclusively for you, so you’ll need to wait for it to be made but it is well worth the time. Their shipping Manager Wanda is a gem.”

“Chilton had the perfect dining table and chairs/bench for our setting. They were more than prompt getting all the pieces together. And they worked with us on a delivery time that worked perfect for us. Delivery was seamless and our new furniture fits perfectly. THANK YOU. So glad to buy local!”

“I wanted two stools for my kitchen island. Hancock style. When I called to order them, the nice girl told me they had several in stock and I could pick them up anytime! My plan was to wait a couple of weeks, but one Sunday I was out and about, decided to drop in, just made it 2 minutes before they closed. She brought them from the stock room and they are beautiful! Came home and got rid of my two oversized clunky ones immediately.”

“The bed ordered is beautiful and is even better than pictured on the Chilton website. Very happy with the quality. Also, Chilton delivered the bed exactly on time -- at the very beginning of the one-hour timeframe they gave me for delivery. The two men were so very professional and helpful. “Excellent experience with Chilton. I had no previous knowledge of them, but everything was top quality. Sometimes when you order something without having seen it in person, or touched the actual product, you expect it to - at most - live up to modest expectations. This is better. Terrific - will use them again when I need. Deliver company wasn't perfect. No damage, but scheduled for one day they didn't make it, and didn't contact me, so it was delayed a week in delivery. Not on Chilton.”
